Does what he say hold up? If the Bureau came investigating, would this protect us in some way?

I see Rand's Law skill has vanished, I did not actually notice that before...

Galder is vastly annoyed by the prospect of having to follow the laws of someone vastly insubordinate to him in skill and power in a government that he hates, but finds no fault with the idea of the Bureau being unable to touch them for the time being.

"We get our man first, though," Galder explains. "We're not going to jump around here upholding the law until we find Briande, and even then I don't think we'll be around here much longer."

"If you get up to some 'prviate business' whilst you are in the Desert, that ain't no concern of mine. Just come out of there with Danza."

Zorin's most compelling point is the idea that if he doesn't tell them you guys came here, they'll never think you did. So long as you have buggered off by the time their ships get to this area, anyway.

Well, lets sign them things then and get goin'

Rand grins.

"You will not be disappointed, Marshall Zorin," Rand says. "Our capabilities will far surpass those of others who have ventured out into the Desert of Stones and not returned. We will return with Danza or what remains of him. And if the Bureau comes prowling and we are apparently not here, then there is opportunity for us to return and carry out our jobs further than this little visit. I'm sure you can appreciate that."

Rand will sign himself over into the office of Deputy.

Indeed, sign away and we can get down to our real business.

Dak will sign after Rand.

So will Con.

Galder signs, writing his name in bold print.

Gallador signs. And yes, Rand has lost Law skill!

"I assume that this desert is pretty big, is there any way to determine where criminals would have tried to run?"

"Nope," he says. "How you handle things in there is your problem. But you can have some of our speeders; we have some four-man jobs. Stupid to try and go in there on foot."

"Are they armed?"

Psycho Brigade calls dibs on their own landspeeder.

Damn straight we do.

And Rianna will sign, she sees no real reason not to. After all, it'll be up to us to 'enforce' the law in our own way...

Con calls dibs on one without the Psycho Brigade.

Gallador agrees with Con.

Unless Con wishes to ride with us, Rand will arrange for a third landspeeder that Gallador can pilot. Azarl may ride with us, as may anyone else who wants that fourth seat.

I assume Tanic and Relle will be in another, if Con tags along with us.

Con, doesn't really mind, he'll just go where a seat is open.

Actually, maybe Gallador may bring that captured deputy after all? He is likely to know that desert better than us, and may be use if we need cannon fodder.

What with Epireans?

What with Epireans?

I don't think the deputy will know anything about the desert. Nor do I think that Epireans will be of advantage, especially when being shot at by a lot of Droids.

They could be useful, but I agree that we shouldn't waste them in a fight like that. They could be more useful with some other task.

They could guard our ships?
