Galder is vastly annoyed by the prospect of having to follow the laws of someone vastly insubordinate to him in skill and power in a government that he hates, but finds no fault with the idea of the Bureau being unable to touch them for the time being.
"We get our man first, though," Galder explains. "We're not going to jump around here upholding the law until we find Briande, and even then I don't think we'll be around here much longer."
"If you get up to some 'prviate business' whilst you are in the Desert, that ain't no concern of mine. Just come out of there with Danza."
Zorin's most compelling point is the idea that if he doesn't tell them you guys came here, they'll never think you did. So long as you have buggered off by the time their ships get to this area, anyway.
Rand grins.
"You will not be disappointed, Marshall Zorin," Rand says. "Our capabilities will far surpass those of others who have ventured out into the Desert of Stones and not returned. We will return with Danza or what remains of him. And if the Bureau comes prowling and we are apparently not here, then there is opportunity for us to return and carry out our jobs further than this little visit. I'm sure you can appreciate that."
Rand will sign himself over into the office of Deputy.

Actually, maybe Gallador may bring that captured deputy after all? He is likely to know that desert better than us, and may be use if we need cannon fodder. What with Epireans?
I don't think the deputy will know anything about the desert. Nor do I think that Epireans will be of advantage, especially when being shot at by a lot of Droids.
