Ok, well, you can relay what you like to them, but the important question is- what kind of advice do you want? What are you asking for?

"That was retribution, not a preemptive strike," Gallagher says. "Unlike the Sith, the murderer was one who could have been brought in, rather than brought down."

"I wouldn't be too sure of that..." says Sienar. "Perhaps you should think more on it later.

"Now... you want to know what all this is about? Why I have made the effort to make all of this so?"

Gallagher nods, eager for answers.

he seems to be leading you back down the citadel Gallagjher, towards the base. You can see signs of the grand recepetion being held for the Senators- the final preparations are being made. Many sevrants and the like are rushing around; the grand central hall of the Basilica will be the venue.

“Power, Gallagher. Everything is about power. But do you understand what that means?"

"I'm not sure I do, Sienar," Gallagher replies, glancing at the activities going on about them as they walk.

It looks like you are going to be heading back out.

"People talk a lot about power. But Power is a matter of two issues. How to get it… and what to do with it. Power is a means to an end. The whole word revolves around you reaching an end- empowering yourself to do something. So... why does anyone ever seek power?"

"There could be a number of reasons," Gallagher says. "To get people to listen, to make a difference, to help others, to feel important..."

"it all comes down to the same basic concept. Power helps anyone get what it is they truly want. A criminal seeks power so he can get money and live the life of luxury he aspires to. A warlord seeks power so that he may be unassailable. The Jedi seek power in roder that they can protect the Galaxy. It;s all the same. You need to get form where you are to where you want to be. You need the means to achieve that. Power, at whatever degree, is that means."

"Where is it that you want to be, Sienar?" Gallagher asks.

"I am sure you will work it out. Do you know what the failing of the Sith was?"

"Their choice to use the Dark Side," Gallagher says curtly.

Hmm, I don't know what Cor-Sec might turn up, simply because we are not on super-popular grounds here with the whole secretly investigating a person everyone loves thing...
But they might be able to help shed light on why Nebb is here, and if there is anything fishy about the Poverty Commission.
So I will give them a call

(Is a senator from Correllia here?)

I'm afraid not, and you are right, Corsec is nto really a political contact. All he knows is that the Committee, responding to some allegations that meeting on Coruscant when some 90% of its business was actually out in the Mid Rim or further out (planets in the Core areas, whilst not free from poverty in the slums, certainly being the types of places that it was generlaly thought should be trying to solve their own problems rather than have the Senate order them around to sort it) was not entirely sensitive to those affected by Galactic poverty.

So they tend to meet on further out worls every few years or so; this time it is Mandragos, which was a smart move politically.

"If that in itself was a failure, Gallagher, the Sith would hardly have been considered so great a threat. You know that is hardly the answer."

You are approaching the reception area again; Sienar nods to the attendants out the front, they lower their heads to him.

"They can pose a threat, but they are doomed from the start," Gallagher says. "The Light will always prevail over the Dark. It has been forseen."

"You are speaking in vague and meaningless concepts," says Sienar. "Think about Power. Whatm specifcally, was the problem?"

Gallagher pauses to think over what Sienar is saying.

"The Sith of old always squabbled over the power they gained," Gallagher says. "It led to their own demise because they could not hold onto that power."

"And why do you think that was?"

Jelena will make contact with Master Besh, hoping to gain further insight. She fills her in on the situation at hand.

"Master, I am not sure how to proceed from here," Jelena says. "The man we were sent after, Doctor Mirani, has committed suicide and effectively left our trail back to Sienar cold. The Abbot has taunted us that we will not be able to stop his plans in time, and we do not even know what his plans are. Is there something that we are not seeing?"

Jelena also voices her concerns about the presence of Nebb, given her past experience with him, and explains that they need more time as Ithrorn has turned up something that will require time to crack.

Well, Besh says, first of all, that of course there is something you are not seeing- it is the nature of the Dark Side to keep things shrouded. And Sienar is using the process of law to defend himself- the rpesence of that lawyer, for example, gives away that if you did manage to look into the affairs of the likes of Kathya you would probably discover everything.

She thinks you should be extremely careful about asking for more time. Sienar is delaying you at every atep he can- therefore it is he who wants time. And he has an advantage- he knows what you are here for, so he cna delay it. You have no idea of what thing of his you are to delay, or even if you can. So if you try and fight that battle you will most definitely lose. The Council has sent you there rapidly to make use of the time you have.

As for the appearance of Nebb-

"Nebb is a powerful symbol of something in your mind. Sometimes the Force speaks to us in symbols," she says.
