USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

Indeed, though if you can logically think of a reason to go elsehwere you can save time.

Jelena did feel like the cast of evil characters was gathering earlier, with Twainbot going to the Basilica and Kathya returning here after murdering the Kio colony. They must be gathering to meet Sienar, and so maybe going to Sienar's office might be the better guess. Jelena is fairly confident that Andro could take on Kathya alone, but not Sienar.

Yes but Andro was going for Kathya, not Sienar, so that is a bit too theoretical.

It could be that she went to cower behind her powerful Dark Side leash-holder in order to save herself from the unstable Jedi coming her way, whom easily bested Varm on Spiridos.

COULD do, but you'd need substantive reason to think so.

Yes you can. However, a bunch of Mark II (i.e. Super) Battle Droids are marching through the doors, and Kathya has positioned herself somewhere where they all have a filed of fire.

At this point, I will have to ask you how comfortable you are with the combat rules... and to seelct your starting schticks, please!

-

Roan and Jelena, you have arrived at the front lobby. Like Andro before you, you stop as you come to the lobby guards, and like Andro yuo are surprised when they do not stop you or ask for your sabre, but just gesture for you to go through.

(I'm reveiwing the rules now, will post the start tomorrow.)

(Ok, beginning to understand, I think. Andro will start out with:

Forward Guard (Tapped)
Riposte
Perfect Strike

This is an attack on Kathya. Now a question: The Force Powers, do they count against the three schticks you can load each turn?)

Andro leaps to the catwalk Kathya mocks him from and begins his assault. Advancing quickly, he launches a furious assault, looking for an opening.

Advice from the peanut gallery time!

My advice is that Andro should focus on the battle droids marching his way before he takes on Kathya. You may remember from fighting Varm that Andro got flooded by goons, so beating the prick priest was not so easy. Having a defense up, in the form of Orthodox Guard, would be splendid. Cleave would also be grand because it allows you to chop up two droids for the price of one (and when tapped gives you protection against the goons). And last but not least, Perfect Strike can still give you a dice boost (which it doesn't do much when you have Forward Guard in, as Forward Guard gives you more and is not cumulative).

Force powers are just used when you declare them, they don't work like Schticks do.

Lastly, don't get killed. 😄

She also has to report to Sienar that she succeeded in killing the Kio colony, doesn't she?

Possibly, but you don't even known for sure if that was her. Speculation as to what may or may not have happened can't really eb used to change your default action here, which is to head or her office following Andro's trail.

-

Andro- indeed no, Force powers are all additional. But Rex speaks a fair warning. There are 25 Supers here and they can easily rack up a huge amount of firepower.

Likewise, Kathya's comment about you being alone is very relevant. You've walked solo into a fight designed for three players.

Meaning we need a very solid reason that Kathya would be with Sienar in order to get to Andro in time.

She knows that the financial records have been seized and she refused to come with us earlier on the grounds that she does not feel safe with us. But she cannot stand up to three Jedi, let alone one. Sienar possibly could, with her help... and maybe Gallagher's.

Also, are all of the SBDs together in one group, Ush? We need to help Andro craft a sufficient plan to NOT get shot to tiny bits before we show up. Is there any cover he could get to? Or somewhere he could head that the SBDs wouldn't get a clear shot?

And is Sunda with us?

Still speculation, not evidence.

Edited with questions about Andro's situation.

Would looking back at Kathya's past actions and attitudes help?

No not really; you need solid evidence.

Yes, Sunda is with you. And all of those walksways etc. will provide angles where soem droids cannot shoot from.

Right now Andro should be focusing on his staying power rather than how fast he can destroy every droid in the room (since it is likely that he cannot).

(Well, the idea was that the Supers would have a difficult time hitting me up here, tussling with Kathya. I was only using the Forward guard, tapped, for the first round to get a jump on Kathya's damage. THen I would swap guards. Wading in amongst the Supers with Kathya taking shots at me seemed worse. My 20/20 hind sight says I should have kept her talking as long as I could, since the Supers actually hadn't attacked yet. Oops.
Anyhow, I'd like to take a mulligan and follow Rex's advice, if I may. Unless I can take a super-mulligan, and keep talking, that is. Although I'd be hard pressed to argue that I deserved it. 😉 )

Your defenses will count against Kathya as well as the droids, so that's a plus at least. Also, don't forget that you can do things like take an action to move to a different walkway where less droids will cluster you, and while doing that you can use Coordination (a free Force power) to protect yourself and reduce their chances of hitting you. You can do this and attack by using a Force point on Ward, might be good to do so once or twice, but how you spend your Force points is really up to you.

I'll sit in the armchair, just let me know if you need further (and maybe more detailed, action by action) advice. As a fellow Swordsman type, I'd say plow into the droids using Ward to attack while defended, clear out a few of the bastards, then go on the defensive, but I would wait to see what the situation looks like numbers-wise.

Juat on that specific pooint, I kinda warned specifically otherwise, that Kathya is actually at the droids' optimum shooting point.

Mulligan as much as you like! First fights are very forgiving.

We are at the guards table right?
Can we hop over there and see if they have any sort of security cameras or such to look and see if we can find where Andro went?

(Ok, keeping Rex's advice in mind, I'll hold off the fight for now. I might be more prudent to see exactly what I'm up against. Let's keep K talking, and while doing that, kinda scope out the area. I'll eventually make a big strike against the droids, but I'll want to try defensive hit-and-run tactics is the room's contants might support something like that. Are the vats big enough to run behind and force Kathya to run around the walkways for a clear shotm or does she have command pretty much of the entire room where she's at?)
