Bear in mind (though I know it is not implicit from the rules) that a Defensive Leap rules out a Riposte.

Well, that is one thing, yes, but the basic ruling is that anything that takes up your action precludes any form of attack, including Riposte, Reflection etc.

This is true, but he won't be making any attacks at all if he gets shot down before he can.

He's still got Ward, which will virtually rule out all the ones up top hurting him.

(Let's try:
Ortho/Tap Cleave/Riposte and yet another Ward. I'm trying to be alive twhen the cavalry comes, so I see little reason to conserve Force Power, though I'm assuming I'll pay for that later.)

Andro should also swap Cleave for Dodge and Weave?

I think not. If he killed the two battle droids at the bottom, the Riposte would be wasted, wouldn't it? It can't attack at range as far as I know.

Or they might go first.

So... if the droids went first and Andro tapped Riposte, there would be more chance of offing them with his tap, and then doing something else with the rest of his turn.

How does that sound for an alternative, Andro? If you go first, chop up the droids and tap Cleave. If they go first, tap Riposte and... well, leap up to fight the rest?

I must say that this new system is harder than it looks. I haven't had time to look at the other games, though i wish I did. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble, or am I just 'special'? 😛 )

Well, potential Ripostes aside, it has to be one or the other. Jumping upo successfully is also an Agility roll, though if you make it you can land next to and attack a droid.

Bear in mind that if up a level, you no longer have cover against the droids up top.

I'm sorry to eb complex but you have ended up with the most complex combination fBlade Scthicks. Is your jumping up dependent on the Cleave tap? Else it could be pretty hazardous up there.

As for the others- no, the Dark Siders had a REALLY rough ride. They had to learn the hard way! You are being heftily advised due to the danger of your situation.

(Yep, only jumping if I get these two, plus Cleave Tap. And I wasn't complaining, I appreciate the help. It just must be frustrating to have to walk someone through like this, I'm frustated at me for not catching on quicker. Maybe I can try to go through some of the Darkie thread later.)
