Delph's League of Champions Stats, Standings, and Transactions Thread

It's after the deadline, but you guys would've ended up having to drop NS anyway, because he's definitely 30 points. Pre-upgrade QS is acceptable for 25.

Question:

Sand. I'm not exactly sure how you define "healing" for a character like that, but it seems to me like he might be > whatever cap we set. He can basically reconstruct himself atom by atom.

He is pretty uber.

The atom by atom bit took a considerable amount of time. Clearly not within the designated 5 minutes.

Clearly. But I'm talking about dispersing him over a considerable area, but him still reforming almost instantly. The uber feat you're referring to had him expanding far beyond the size of most of the battlefields. So it might be literally impossible for us to disperse him to the extent where he can't just reform instantly.

The only way I can see dispersing him that far is with Teleportation.

Good thing the tourney's limited to death via dispersion...

Which might not be possible with him. Did you see my post?

Yes.

My post was sarcasm.

Ah. Ok then. Which still leaves the question. I'd like to hear other give their thoughts, or even you guys since you can likely mount the most credible defense of including him.

As for me, 30 points Sand is almost as BS (low herald at full potential) as 25 points Shift, who is\was Metamorpho 2.0 and high meta at the lowest (I think both him and Metamorpho should go to low herald tier, OK, high meta, 25 point is steal and a horrible one).

Eh, my two cents-

After seeing this scan-

I'd be willing to say his HF > Deadpools

And DP took more than 5 minutes to heal from liquid, yet his level of HF is still banned.

And Sand is a lot more spread out than DP. For one, his atom's are all over the place. DP was just a liquid, and he's still banned.

seriously, sand "low herald" ?

he's strictly terrestrial and can still be fused into glass like sandman was. he's be hard pressed to beat shadowcat.

And that's pretty much his only weakness.

In my match SMurph/BW argued that he couldn't be fused into glass as he's made of silicon not just sand.

And he has been in control of his body as molten rock before, so heating him doesn't seem to do that much.

And strictly terrestrial means nothing. Hulk's mid herald and he's terrestrial.

DP healed instantly from that once his HF started working again. DP is banned because he both has a healing factor and cannot die no matter what happens.

Based on what I remember from the few JSA comics I've seen him in Sand is probably too powerful for the tournament once CIS is removed, basically for the reasons that DP is banned, he seemingly cannot die and can reform his body from even the most devastating injuries.

So would Superman . . .

Damn, this ruling is gonna suck...

Based on the evidence presented (a scan which Smurph and B-dub actually provided themselves in the battle, surprisingly), I'm going to have to rule that Sand's regen/healing is beyond tournament caps as stated in Combat Rule #16, established per majority vote in the discussion period. The ability to reform from atomization exceeds the established tournament limits.

By rule all arguments based on the use of Sand's powers will have to be disregarded in the battle, and Sand is officially removed from their teams roster and banned from use by all participants (for Season 1).

Smurph/BDub, please submit a replacement character for use in Week 5. Sorry.

Judges, please disregard any Sand related arguments/offenses in the Kfish Vs. Bdub/Smurph battle.

sandman was fused into a solid piece of glass like a statue, unless shattered he would have stayed like that.
