Do you one better. Wonder Woman lives in a universe full of Superman clones and is still considered Earth's next line of Defense after superman. Wonder Woman has fought, CM, Superman, Sun Amped, WHite Martians, Ultraman, Super Woman, ect. She deals with Superman and copies all of the time. Gladiator is a bad copy of a copy. He isn't even a copy of Superman. He's M"onel Light.
WOW this posting is still going on. How can you guys think this cheap superman can beat Wonder Woman. This is no match for WW. This would be a good training/conditioning session for WW and that's about hit. What part of surviving a punch of sun amped superman don't you guys understand. A punch which knocked her from the sun back down to the earth surface. Gladiator for sure is not going to hit her that hard.

The part I'm not understanding is how you got the idea that your argument, devoid of substance as it is, would be in any way compelling.
lulz hes teh cheep knockoff!
Okay, got anything that stands as an actual argument?

You can put the thesaurus away. I'm not impressed by it.I'll be the judge of that.
The fact that you've read the comics just removes you from the "speaking out of ignorance" column and places you squarely into the "brazenly dishonest" column.
You weren't speaking hypothetically when you referenced Cannonball and Colossus. That excuse doesn't fly. If you cite actual fights, it should be assumed that the outcomes you allude to are actually represented, at least somewhat, in the comic.
It's like how sometimes Superman can fly, but other times he can only leap tall buildings in a single bound. So inconsistent!
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, just as I have the right to tell you that your opinion is entirely baseless given the evidence.
Gladiator's confidence factor has worked against him in combat all of three times. One of those was a telepath who bypassed the middle man and just forced his brain to lose confidence.
The other two were both against characters whom Gladiator knew for a fact should not have been able to stand up to his blows the way they did. Never once has he faced a superior foe or a physical equal and lost confidence because of his or her ability to stand up to him. Not once. That's just not how it works, and yet it seems to be the #1 most commonly used argument against him.
Just read through your post, and to be honest with you I will not respond to most of it (you seem to be just another brash sot and there is really no need to engage you).
Although let me make two quick points.
1) If you think those words are out of a thesaurus then it says a lot about your level of English diction. Or maybe you assume my early education was American (it was not, and what you consider thesaurus level English is actually standard lingua at late primary level education)
2) It is also interesting that you deem yourself the judge of anything. To be honest, you are simply a name on a comic-book forum. Nothing more. The only real right you have is to an opinion, and while in your atrophied sense of things that might seem the same as judging something it is actually quite different. You have the right to think poster so and so doesn't know jack, I have the right to think you are an idiot.

Do you honestly think I don't know posturing when I see it?
Before you rush off and get all acerbic at someone (and start inquiring whether or not they are using their powers of reasoning), it might be best to inquire of them what they meant. That is generally helpful, unless you simply want to engage in some vitriolic chest-thumping, which I am game for by the way.
The above is posturing.
A cursory investigation of your posting habits reveals that you do not post in this pseudo-intellectual tone with any degree of regularity. I've yet to come across even a single post in which you brandish words like "acerbic" and "vitriolic" casually, as though such vocabulary comes naturally.
The real cause for my suspicion, though, was in your all too coincidental use of two "big boy" words that just so happen to...well...see for yourself:
You seek to dazzle us with your non-American lingua and just so happen to use one five-dollar word and its first listed synonym.
Impressive.
Most impressive.

The guy has an MO, I'll give him that.1) Make entirely baseless claim.
2) Respond to attacks on said claim's baseless nature by hiding behind a thesaurus and alluding to grammar school in Edinburgh.
3) Wait for cheerleaders.

And exactly what are you waiting on? For us to respect your opinion? You'll get my respect the day after the sun goes super nova and all life on earth ends.
