She sighed and pulled some bandages from her pack. "That's silly.. Nothing is that beautiful. I'm just a dirty wanderer. There's nothing pretty about rusted armor and messy hair." Mara growled and took a swipe at her when she touched the wounds. Lin rolled back and looked at her in shock. "What's gotten into you?!"
Jacc shook his head, a bit unsure of how to put it. "It's... complicated to explain, but... I don't think... we can... Not until the war is ended. And unfortunately... That doesn't look to be happening anytime soon." He shrugged, standing and walking over to a far part of the cave, still soaked clean through and resigned from trying to change the fact. "What about you, Halo? What is it like where you're from?"
"Where I'm from, most couldn't survive." she explained sitting down on the rocky surface. She pushed back her dreads revealing her Olympian mark on her neck. "I was in training for the army at 16. They ripped me from my mother and sister. I barely remember them now." she told him, her eyes then shifted and she leaned back. "I don't want to remember those jackoffs, and what they did to me and my family. The Olympian army is feared for a reason, and thats why I hide here. Though I'm sure soon, I will be found. I can feel them close."
Jacc shook his head. "That's... horrible. I can't imagine the pains of being ripped from your family at such a young age..." He rose to his feet, pacing around a bit before finally allowing himself to break the awkward silence. "Then... Let's fight them. Take down the Olympian Army. It's what Kyrie would tell us to do, if she were here." He allowed himself a bit of time to breathe, the thought of an impending battle being so out of touch from how he would have felt mere moments earlier. "We can take them. I'm sure of it. Between your training and my... Well, I can fight, anyway..."
