Fate of the Jedi Series (Post-LOTF)

Started by Gideon12 pages

Point of contention that may spell doom for this series. Random monk #321 nearly overpowers Luke in a fight.

Good lord. You just started and this already feels like the inconsistency of LOTF.

Apparently Luke ages backwards; he looks under thirty on the cover.

And Gideon, can you describe the scene a little more?

I'm buying my copy on saturday..

Remember Jacen during DN and then the cover of I forgot which LOTF novel where Jacen looks 12? They have some incredible medicine in the SW universe.

Is Daala Chief-of-State? That reason alone is why I will never read these.

Luke engages in combat against a being who calls himself the Hidden One. He hurls lightning against Luke, who deflects it with his lightsaber, but it's strong enough to hurl him across the room and into a pillar, pinning him there. With extreme effort, Luke is able to move forward. So the Hidden One uses the Force to summon winds and hurl him back. Luke is again, with effort, able to move forward. The Hidden One hurls a Force-created vortex of air at him, Luke destabilizes it with telekinesis, and in the chaos disables the Hidden One with a kick to the ribs.

Ugh, how mundane. Luke goes from taking on Shimrra and Caedus to a monk? Just DIE!

Yeah.

From what I read of the upcoming book summaries, I'm not impressed with one of the new (but old) factions that will be appearing.

Darth Caedus is (i believe) the only person who links the LotF era and Legacy era. Because, while Caedus is reining, The One Sith Order is growing in the corners of the galaxy waiting for the moment to strike...also, Mara Jade is one name...

As for the series itself, I'm worries about who will be the antagonist(s) in the series, In my opinion it is too early for it to be The One Sith order(this would still be one of my first guesses), another jedi turning dark just happened and we had to series prior to LOTF involving alien wars.

Legacy era starts 130 ABY, from what i know, LotF finishes somewhat short of this time period, so they've got tonnes to work with from a artist/writer point of view. If they finished LotF 2 years before the start of Legacy then you might have a point, but there are tonnes of things that can happen in star wars...the posibilities are endless

The first part we'll have to wait for the FOTJ series to end to get a good understanding of Caedus's impact on it. And Mara was one of the best EU characters, while I was happy with the death scene, I was sad to see her go.

It's too early because Luke reestablished the jedi order in 11 ABY so the jedi order that The Luke Skywalker established after defeating the emperor can't even last 150 years before being purged and come close to"extinction" is something that troubles a lot of fans.

Yeah. It's just a shame that the leader of a random cult can effectively challenge and nearly defeat Luke Skywalker.

Apparently, random monk's force-lightning > black hole at the center of the galaxy.

WTF.

Yeah. I mean, Luke does legitimately defeat him, but it is completely and utterly grueling.

Technically, based on your description of that scene, the Hidden One > Darth Caedus [therefore Darth Vader, and just about all other Force-users] and colony empowered Raynar Thul.

Either that or Luke is slipping [hard and fast], which is stupid too.

I like it.

(In all seriousness, it's probably PIS)

Give him a break, he's gone like 8 months without sex. The guys bound to be twigging out a little.

Actually, it's been two years since Mara's death. Of course, this whole shit with Daala may be part of a love triangle gone wrong.

Unless you meant Faunus, in which case it's been a lot longer than 8 months. Try "his entire life."

Who the **** is Faunus?

Edit: Btw, calling PIS goes against your Project Holocron methodology. So you lose either way.

And I win.
