Yea, I expected Thor to save Iron Man from the fall and after Hulk did it, I was sure Thor was going to revive Stark.

A little too much Hulk.

I'm thankful that Thor didn't. It would have been too cliche a moment. At one point I thought someone was going to give him cpr, and was dreading it. Thankfully Hulk surprised everyone with that moment. Also, Tony seemed more out of it in that scene than in a death-like state.

Saw the movie with a bunch of friends and they all loved it. Marvel did a fantastic job and set up for another film. The two credit scenes were great add as well. Whedon knows his stuff.

Finally, the Thanos reveal opens up some many more possibilities. Marvel is not only on a roll, but it seems they're committed to taking on hard projects and expanding their universe. They aren't afraid to take this to the limit and showcase their characters. Seriously, who here thought they could make Thanos as great looking on the big screen as they did in this film? This reveal means the Guardians of the Galaxy movie could be in the works and dare I say Thanos or his allies maybe the villains of that series.

Marvel's movie producer Kevin Feige on Guardians of The Galaxy movie.

It's official - a new opening weekend record has been set.

They didn't just squeeze past the previous record, they smashed it!

Guys I'm new here, just one question.

When Hulk fought Thor in the movie:

During the scene where Thor's hammer was on the floor of the flying ship, shouldn't the flying ship crash?

Can vehicles pick up the Thor hammer? Or was the flying ship an exception?

Thx! 😄

Automatons are an exception to a degree. If Thor threw it deliberately through the ship it would keep on going. If it just falls on it's own on the deck, it doesn't take the whole helicarrier with it.

Just like when it crashes on the Earth. It doesn't keep on burrowing through the Earth because the Earth 'isn't worthy' to hold it up.

Remember the Thor movie, when the pickup truck collapsed trying to drag the hammer away? That's because even though it was an inanimate object taking hold of it, an unworthy person was at the controls of the steering wheel. Cancels it out. In the comics, sentient robots without a soul have been able to carry the hammer away; future tech created by Zarkko.

I watched Captain America 3 times, Thor 3 times, and Iron Man 5 times in theaters.

I'll probably only watch Avengers twice.

Yes, seriously. unlike some people, I have FRIENDS. I enjoy hanging out with them and watching movies.

I usually watch a good comic movie with family and friends; so that's a few different showings. Hard to believe eh?

whoa! defensive much?

...apparently anyone who doesn't see one movie in theaters 5 times doesn't have friends. haermm

lol

Good movie. Hawkeye was my favourite of the Avengers in the movie next to Hulk and Thor.

Who's being defensive? If you had friends you wouldn't react like you have none. And a laughing icon doesn't make you any funnier...

soooooooo, how 'bout that sequel!?!

Wow thanks for that, your reply was highly detailed and informative. Thanks for the cool reply. I feel like if I have more random questions, you would be the ideal brains to answer it! 🙂

More: Do you think the tesseract could power Stark's suit? Or overpower it?

Do you like the idea of having War Machine in Avengers 2?

Whedon said the sequel needs to be smaller than the first n more personal.

I can see that working so maybe after Mandrin in IM3 we can get Red Skull, Mandrin, Leader, n maybe Enchantress n Loki again for a masters of evil in Avengers 2!

I know allot of those weren't ever offically Masters of Evil members but makes more since to me to keep with villains the heroes have a movie past with. And IMO Masters of Evil can be pretty much any group of the Avengers oppisites. As long as they can work together and all pose serious threats.

Whacha think?

I'll probably only watch Avengers twice.

I've watched Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Avengers just once in theaters.

But on iTunes I've watches Iron man, Iron Man 2 totaling over 5000 times.

I'm guessing I'll go over 5000 times watching Avengers when it's out on iTunes. I just let it play in the background when I type notes out or doing assignments, I don't know why but it is inspirational.

Eg. I have to finish 5 pages of typing before Stark goes to the Charity ball in Iron Man 1.

If the ending scene was any indicator, the villain for Avengers 2 will be

Spoiler:
Thanos
, assuming that is that he's not used in the other cosmic movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Inhumans, or is the main bad guy in Thor 2.

Outside of him, I really don't think they should use multiple enemies in the sequel, but rather a villain capable of engaging the Avengers on their own. To that end, I'd like either Kang or Ultron. And really, outside of Loki, Kang and Ultron are the two biggest foils to the Avengers.

Spoiler:
Thanos is just way to big for a sequel yet IMO. It's about as freakin epic as it can get when they go against Thanos to throw down. He'd be a great finale villain thou so he's be more suited for 3. I mean what is bigger than Thanos?

Marvel has said Avengers wrapped up Phase 1 and now they're starting phase 2 of the movies. I see him as jus the final battle of phase 3's conclusion

I like Ultron, I like him allot and think he'd make for a great Avengers movie villain.

Unfortunately you can't really do Ultron right without Pym, n Pym sucks ass!

I really really hate Pym!

they'd have to introduce Hank in Iron Man 3; at which time he has already created or is in the process of creating Ultron... it would be entirely too rushed if they introduced both Pym and Ultron in the same movie.

At least he has a good idea how to do sequels it seems. which other directors don't..Lets go 'BIGGER AND BETTER".
