We don't know what happened actually. Only that the pressure points worked and the next time we see either of them it is Red Lotus and he is seemingly unharmed and Shaw is nowhere to be seen.

He pressure points him and then Shaw is holding his paralyzed arm and the rest of the fight happens off panel. But at the end of the issue we see Red Lotus is standing in the same room the fight too place with comatose body of Sage. Either Shaw ran or he got koyed.

I didn't think there was any coloration between Shaw's durability and his absorption of kinetic energy. To the best of my knowledge has only ever been stated on panel to increase his stamina and strength, and he just has impressive durability by default.
Oh, and his speed also increases.
