Our GDP is large enough that we could have a much larger military. Yes, the united states provides much of the continental defense. This is not just beneficial to Canadians. Trust me, your life wouldn't be nearly as good if we were Cuba.

you seriously want an example? Just go look at any one of your comments made in any thread that involves the U.S. in any way directly or indirectly. You always claim the U.S. makes the wrong decision, that they should just stick to their own stuff and leave the world to itself (disregarding the fact that the world asks for help). Theres lots more but you should remember it being as you wrote it. I would go back and look at all the threads and give you specific examples....but thats a lot of hating i don't feel like looking up at 12:30am.

As Stephen Colbert pointed out, now that we've tortured them they almost certainly hate America. From a more realistic standpoint we can't determine their innocence, mainly because we're too busy torturing them to put them on trial or accumulate evidence.

There he was held, tortured, and eventually died from his injuries. The army coroner, so the American military themselves, when doing their report on the death, claimed the cause was murder.

Maclean's Magazine put out an article a few years ago saying that the biggest problem associated with closing gitmo was that, sure, most of these people weren't anti-American and probably had few if any Jihadi connections when they went in. But, like how normal prisons are "con colleges", they likely are far more radical and more connected with real jihadis.

also, your tactic is called dodging. If you really feel this way, and your feelings are rational, you should have ample evidence that I am ignorant and hate America. That you have none to provide and refuse to engage on the matter is essentially an admission that you are wrong.
