OK, I can see that, though voting based on how such characters normally act (not how we want them or feel they should), Cain has lost his helmet on numerous occasions to much weaker beings than Thanos, so the chances of him removing it and psi-blasting him out are pretty good for me. 🙂
only one problem with that theory; Juggernaut has since stopped making the mistake of only donning the helmet, so he decided to fashion a full face mask in case his helmet was removed.
I don't think it would be that easy for Thanos to remove Juggernauts helmet. Would it be a speed feat? I think that the Juggernaut may be capable of keeping up in this regard as they are both roughly the same size, or would it be a martial arts feat? Thanos is most certainly a better fighter.
A much better fighter yes, but keep in mind Thanos is no slouch physically, and even his weakest form was able to fight Thor and Thing combined HTH (his later forms became increasingly more powerful than that). He can take many shots from Cain close up, more than enough IMHO to remove the helmets and get in his psi-shot. If Thanos wasnt So Physically Powerful, Id go Juggernaut, but he is capable of getting in close and hanging for quite a while physically, even against the Juggernaut.
Thor has slammed his hammer full force into Cains face in the past, and it had no effect, I am unsure whether or not Thanos possesses that kind of hitting power.
Cain has on more than just a helmet, now while I am pretty sure that he could remove the helmet after a while, Cain would still have on his face mask which has the same psi shielding strength as his helmet... this would be far harder to remove.
In the meantime Cain is a moving thinking target, so he won't just be standing there while Thanos casually walks up, and peels both layers off of his head.

This is in the "Forum Rules" Thread:
Basic KnowledgeEach side receives basic knowledge of the other. A good measure of this would be what the general population of the character's homeworld knows. For example, that Superman has a weakness to Kryptonite is general knowledge, but that he's Clark Kent is not.
Full Capacity
It is assumed that each contestant will fight to his/her best ability, but still within the character's personality, unless specified otherwise. That means they will use any powers at their disposal. For example, even though The Flash doesn't clock each of his own opponents in the first millisecond in his own comic, it is assumed that is a viable tactic on this board since it is a proven fact that he possesses that level of speed. It is also assumed that the characters fight at their optimum levels of ability - not explicitly weakened or unusually powered up for those who have variable power levels.
In other words, Juggernaut is going to use his shield to keep Thanos from getting to his helmet in this thread on this forum.

You might want to rethink that Cain is a moving thinking target comment, as compared to Thanos Cain is an idiot, and his lumbering speed is little next to what Thanos himself brings. 🙂

Not that slow apparently, do you recall the speed at which he ran when WWHulk bfr'ed him? If he was unable to maintain this speed while on his feet he would have lost his footing while being sent flying instead.
I agree with the rest of what you said.

Well, its not like Hulk is known for his speed either now. 🙂
The Hulk is very fast actually, his running speed is incredible as well as the fact the he can jump at speeds that exceed mach 3. His movement speed is pretty fast as well for a character of his size. I'd gp to his respect thread to show you but it's really late, and I'm feeling lazy as hell.

WWH gave him a lil nudge.
My point is that the nudge he gave him helped him to achieve quite a bit of land speed, and if he was unable to adjust to that speed he would have gone airborne. This mean that he would most likely be able to attain these speeds on his own while running.
Agreed. Juggernaut can move fast, he just chooses not to.
It's like the arguements I have with people who say he can't leap like the Hulk can. Hulks leaping ability comes from having powerful legs, Juggernaut has powerful legs. The point is why leap over a mountain when you can walk through it? That's basically the Juggernaut philosophy.

So when Juggernaut is cursing and flailing his arms wildly, trying to get the x-men, it's because he chooses not to speedbliz them?

Ptr already answered this for me.
I wouldn't say that he speedblitzes anyone, it is just that his running speed is above average.
This brings up the question on whether or not Thanos is as fast on land, or not? We have all seen Thanos' reaction speeds, but this is not to say that he can sustain these speeds while fighting.
I know that Cain has never shown this kind of speed, so in a fight neither of these guys should be making the other look like they are moving in slowmo mode. Thanos certainly has the advantage in fighting skill, while Cain has the durability advantage until someone proves otherwise.
This fight should go to the one able to outlast the other, why do I see Thanos at a disadvantage?

Thor also blew Cain's helmet to shreds with a single blow...
