If piccolo can destroy the moon early in the series when he wasn't as strong as he is now, and goku is far stronger then piccalo by far, then i'm sure he would have no problem blowing up the sun. And wen he is SSJ4 Gogeta there is no questioin whether or not he can blow up the sun.

Quit being a little fanboy. First of all Vegeta isn't in this fight so he can't go to that level. Second of all Gogeta is not canon. Third of all what proof do you have that SSJ4 Gogeta could even destroy the sun? Oh let me guess, he was incredibly powerful so he must be able to do so? Without feats or verbal mentioning of said action then your entire argument is completly filled with speculation.

He pretty much meant that Goku would kill himself if he blew up the planet, but Vegeta blew up an alien planet in the Saiyan Saga when he was on the planet without being destroyed by his own blast.

Vegeta in the filler destroyed Arlia, not in the canon however.

Superman splits moons in half by flying next to them, Goku's best strength feat is raising a cliff. And that is noncanon.

Goku in fights can move 100s of feet in mid-air fighting, impressive, but Superman has done the same...Only he reached half-way to the other side of the planet, going from Egypt to China in a fight nearly instantly.

Superman is thousands of times more durable. Even Kid Buu was destroyed by a planet busting attack, only he can regenerate. Superman survives blasts equal to 50 supernovas, and planets colliding.

Seriously, how in the HELL can anyone think Goku wins?

Na, Superman in the comics is even more rediculously powerful than in the movies in certain writtings, Goku doesn't have a chance.

I know 4th form Frieza destroyed Namek (well, its core, which then led it to explode)

But did he destroy one before (it has been like 5+ years since I last read the manga, so forgive my ignorance)

The Bardock movies was made canon, in his first form, he destroyed Planet Vegeta, although he used a much larger and more destructive Death Ball(the Namek one was designed to destroy the planet slowly, so he could finish his fight with Goku).

Haha yeah.

The Bardock movie was actually pretty good though. It's no wonder Toriyama added it to his canon(least I think that is how it happened).
