in my opinion, master chiefs experience may make him able to kill one, maybe 2 purge troopers, but if the came at him with reinforcements and possibly a 3rd purge trooper he wouldn't stand a chance. and this only being if he was supplied with adequate cover and weaponry including a few plasma grenades and an overshield. he would prob'ly need some backup. however, while they have fewer numbers, if they were backed up by the imperial gaurd, the space marines from 40k would be able to hold their own against the galactic empire. while their are only around 20,000 space marines in existent, their tactics and superior armor and genetically engineered soldiers could easily wipe out nearly any form of imperial infantry. *gasp* warhammer 40'000, star wars tie-in. i can see it now. wave after wave of necrons on one side, tyranids on the other, and the GE in the middle trying to fight them off. then the imperium of man (imperial gaurd, space marines, sisters of battle and daemon hunters) comes in, followed by the tau and eldar. then the warp opens and chaos and dark eldar forces begin to pour out in a relentless tide. finnally, the orks gather together in a great waaaaaagh and come forth to wipe out the pyooni hyoomenz.

The Chief would rape purge troopers. He's way faster then them. Faster than most Jedi as well.

20,000 space marines? What? Canonically, there's a thousand marine's per chapter. There's at least a thousand chapters...

check wikipedia. on the site it has a list of the chapters. there are only 20. i havent read the books so im not sure if i missed something but from what ive read their are only twenty. actually, the creators made 2 mysteriously dissapear in the warp to make room for the players to create their own. 1 for chas marines and one for norms.
