From a veteran of the U.S. Army to a future Army soldier:
-Do your best. Never settle for anything except your very best.
-Remember to always stay fit and pass your APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) so you can promote.
-Never take any shit from anyone except, that is, your drill sergeants and officers. LOL
-Make the most of it. Learn as much as you possibly can so you can be better than just "good" at your job.
-Most important: Have a blast doing it. Make friends. Party. And enjoy it. I know that you will.

I go to the MEP center today, my recruiter is picking me up at 1:00 p.m.
I am excited and nervous and honestly I am a tad scared too.
But I know in my heart this is the right decision for me
