wouldn't that make Tony's flight speed faster than light speed?
It takes light 8 minutes to reach the Werth.

ah ok...thought it took longer

still that means Tony travels up to 1/2 of lightspeed...that's friggin fast. more likely the writer messed up.

they've all dodged bullets from a couple feat away, which is harder than dodging a missile

😐

...Missile = Big.

Bullet = Small.

Bigger = more target area to hit.

Smaller = less target area to hit.

Similar speeds with both.

Soooo...?

Smaller objects at higher velocity are harder the avoid then a large objects though?

It was never a specified time frame, and Tony didn't even come close to the sun iirc.

Yeah, for some reason people seem to think Tony is only a couple notches above mach 3 for some reason. Anyhow yeah I was referring to SS nothing having movmemnt speed beyond a peak human...but even then i've seen Bruce and Batgirl appear invisibly fast.

Yes he did, where are you getting this?

Bullets are not faster than missiles.

What exactly is the debate here?

if the question is whether Surfer has super fast reflexes, beyond peak human...then I think the answer is unquestionably yes. To travel at light speed in space and avoid hitting space debris, you need at super fast reflexes.

if the question is whether Surfer can attack in a speed-blitz in the manner of speedsters, then there doesn't seem to be evidence for that.

If you're talking about the fight with the Collective, then no, Tony didn't go to the sun.

So if Tony flies at FTL speed and can use the speed of his jet offensivly does that constitute bodily movement speed.

you just missed the point ENTIRELY.

at close range it would be.

missles take some time to accelerate to its maximum velocity whereas bullets gain their maximum velocity instantly due to their different methods of propulsion.

The argument is if SS has superspeed movement, as in "can he move his body at superfast pace"like speedsters. I already said he can move fast offensily and defensily with the aid of his boards speed, but that he doesn't have speedster level body movement.

Give me one credible source that backs up your claim.

Just because missile far exceed the speed of a bullet later in its flight does not mean a missile is slower than a bullet at close range.

Some bullets aren't even supersonic

I think he did, well it was him and sentry that both went there.

No, I get what you're saying.

No, Tony went into space with Sentry, but he wasn't anywhere near the sun, Sentry flew to the sun with Collective by himself.

you don't. your answer proved that.

the board isn't a mode of transportation. it's like an extra limb.

From him being last seen at at best Mercury.

And Sentry getting back to Earth a lot later when he was shown to be ahead of Iron Man during their trip.

Dude, the method of propulsion makes bullets at full speed instantly. A missle requires distance to attain maxim velocity.
