Assassins Creed 2

The ending kinda threw me off a little bit. Something about

Spoiler:
the world will be destroyed by the sun and some artifacts at temples have to be found to prevent that or something.

Where is Leonardo da Vinci in Venice? He doesn't show up on the map, and I have no idea where he is. I want to upgrade my shiz...but he's not there to be found.

the first one bored me to death... so much in fact that I stopped playing it about 3 hours in. It seemed as if every minute there was another bad in game cutscene, and I hated the modern storyline.

Second game still has the stupid modern day thing going on but its 10x better. I have to admit though that I wasn't too impressed with the graphics. The outdoor landscapes in particular looked like something from an MMO (okay, a really good looking mmorpg)

...not impressed with the graphics?? I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, if you are still referring to Assassin's Creed 2. The graphics were amazing. I couldn't believe they were able to get that amazing of a look in so many HUGE cities, which kinda depresses me when looking at Halo 3, when given the same amount of time, and Halo isn't free world. I still really like Halo 3's graphics, however, seeing as what Ubisoft did with ACII, I am now expecting more from Halo: Reach.

Not saying their bad or anything but I guess I was expecting more from ubisoft. I literally stopped playing ACI and immediately put the second game in and can't actually say I saw a difference. granted, Halo 3's graphics were never the best out there either.... but thats a different game

Well, just picked it up for a rental. I'm thinking I should of bought it but I was bored.

Just found my first glyph. How do you find them? I know they show up clearly in eagle mode but how do you know a glyph is nearby?

As for the game. It's much better than the first. I'm not bored yet, but one thing that surprised me is the graphics. In the first, they are breathtaking, but in the second, while still really good, they don't have the same impact. It seems they didn't upgrade them that much or I just remember the feeling I had when I played the first.

Just beat the game. Really not that impressed overall. The free running gets really irritating once you start jumping off walls that you meant to climb (which results in a 200 foot plummet to your death), the environments all start to look the same, and the swordfighting aspect isn't that fun.

I'd give it a 7.5/10

I also had the jumping off the wall problem at first but if you hold down A while your running, it doesn't happen. It's when you let go of A just before your near a wall where jumping for your death happens.

I still have to wait till march to get the gamewallbash

Even if you just look at the main characters from the two games, Altair and Ezio, there is a big difference. I hadn't played the firs game in quite a few months when I played ACII, so I really didn't notice a difference either. But I stuck in the first game again, for nostalgia sake, and was very disappointed with the look of Altair...his armour, comparatively, is very boring...so blan...that after playing as Ezio and all his detail, I had a hard time playing the first one again.

That and the first one is boring as hell.

just got this yesterday finally, even though im six years and a day late haermm
i love i, especially how Ezio climbs way faster than Altair when scaling buildings, plus you can get money and it's more fun to climb up the towers to get a viewpoint[the platforming was one of the to preasons why i wanted it]
it's just too bad there isnt that blend button like in the 1st, it came in handy when walking by enemies, but if you even fart in their diection, "There he is! Get him!"

I hated the blend button.

Blending in a crowd was fun and interactive. You had to pay attention. In the first its like, "ah shit, somebody is after me, hit Y to blend".

I didn't get attack by accident nearly as often as I did in the first. In the second, if somebody pushed you into a guard or fell into a guard, unless your notorious, you didn't always get attacked.

While in the first, guaranteed.

Line of sight is a much better edition than what they had in the first. (or lack they had)

I agree with Smas...unless you're notorious, and you are even a little careful, odds are, you can walk/run the streets just fine. Although, why walk the streets when you can jump buildings?! 😛 I always just kept my notoriety down though, whenever it would build up, i would bring it back down. It really bothered me in the first how you couldn't do that. I couldn't so much as walk casually around without twelve guards picking fights with me.

Anyone get the new DLC for this game yet? I am thinking of getting it within the next week.

Do NOT get the game.

It is DEFINITELY a renter. I beat the game in a week with everything gotten except for all the feathers. (I had 53...)

And, I agree with with the 7.5 out of 10 grade.

I still think Prototype makes this game looks like shit.

I only played it for the story. I was told that it was the best story from a video game, of 2009. It was certainly unique and I enjoyed it...

I tend to agree. It's solid, but I rented it from gamefly and finished it in maybe 5 days. Doesn't really seem like the type of gave you'd play once you finished it, unless you just have a massive hardon for it. So yeah, rental.

May I ask why?

Unless you have a lot of time in a week, I found it hard to finish it in a week.

Or if your the type of guy who needs to find everything, I would buy it.

Thought wait 6 months and you can pick up for half price, which would be a good dea.

Cause Prototype was insanely better at doing what Assassin's Creed tried to do with the moving about, i.e. parkour.

On top of that, the story was very entertaining. It's hard to say which story I ejoyed more: Prototype or Assassin's Creed 2.

Like I said, I found everything in about 6 days...cept 47 feathers. I mean I got everything there was to get. I was actually a tad disapointed that there wasn't more weapons customization or clothing effects. I'd like armor to give movement bonuses or penalities...maybe even other stuff like persuasion bonuses...yadda yadda.

That's almost an unfair comparison. Mercer has super powers, of course he's better at getting from place to place.

i definately like the addition of finding crap in the game like the statuettes at Monteriggioni, plus the glyph puzzles and the codex pages
and of course the assassin's tombs to get that sweet armor

it was just a bit helpfull when youre running from guards and youre like "oh shit, oh shit! i cant find a place to go! i cant see anything!" then hit A and it gave you time to look for a place to book it too
