Gee, I dunno, how about the countless pantheons he killed off? 🙄 Or the times he's drained power from people, or even from Apokolips itself?
What does killing pantheons off panel have to do with what we are talking about?

Apokolips is completely different and most if not all of the people he has depowered were people he gave power to in the first place.

Ahhhh I see DS could just depower Tyrant the same way he's depowered lesser foes who have beaten him.... 🙄

No, it isn't. It's more like a situation that this isn't an option for Ds.

When has Ds taken anyone's power other than his creations?

.......So I guess the last 20 years of DS don't matter much?

Yup, hey you got a problem with DS's powers take it up with DC...were just calling it for how it is.

Name the instances then.

I thought he absorbed the powers of people he had defeated, I've never seen him absorbing actively the powers of someone.

Are you just referring to his off- panel feats?

On another note, I don't like to pay attention to idiots 🙂

Please don't make comments like this. Thank you. 🙂

He said, 'on another note', so he couldn't be talking about Galen or maybe not even anyone on the forum. 🙂

So much discussion about Final Crisis in this thread... yet... the OP said Darkseid doesn't get the ALE...

... did I miss something?

Yeah, apparently you missed Final Crisis. Aside from when he was using the ALE, everything else Darkseid did was HIS OWN POWER. That included the Doomsday singularity.

What FC did was finally confirm the true scale of the New Gods.

No. I did read Final Crisis. Show me a scan where he doesn't possess the ALE throughout the entirety of Final Crisis.

The ALE is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with his feats outside of controlling people.

The Anti-Life Equation does more than control people. It gave Darkseid the power to collapse the DC Multiverse unto himself. This is obvious from the story itself. But if you want more concrete proof, think about the Miracle Machine. The Miracle Machine functioned on the Life Equation (the counter to the Anti-Life Equation, in case that isn't obvious enough) and the Miracle Machine restored the DC Multiverse:

So if the Miracle Machine restored the DC Multiverse with the Life Equation. How did Darkseid collapse the DC Multiverse in the first place? Answer: Anti-Life Equation. And in this thread, Darkseid doesn't get the ALE. Hence, why Final Crisis discussion is meaningless in this thread.

🤨 You self-serving little...... Darkseid was already dying towards the end. And even after his spirit fell completely into the abyss, THE DCU WAS STILL BROKEN. It took a second use of the miracle machine, powered by X element and a boost from Superman, (and need I remind you that Darkseid called it "a cargo cult motherbox" ) and finishing off Mandrakk with help from Nix Uotan and half the damn DCU. Only then, was the DCU righted and the orrery of worlds repaired.

I'm calling out every last bit of BS in that last post. 😮‍💨

Admittedly it's light so I'm not thinking clearly, but I don't see how any of that proves OneDumbG0 wrong.

I proved he was wrong about the life equation. the miracle machine did not function on it, it only calculated it. His whole point was calibrated on proving that the ALE's being countered reversed the damage and thereby proved that Darkseid did his feats with the ALE.

Despite repeated insistence and confirmations that it was Darkseid's fall that caused the doomsday singularity. No reference to the ALE doing anything other than controlling people and not a single reference about it warping the multiverse or creating the singularity.

...

For what possible other reason would the Miracle Machine calculate the Life Equation? For sh1ts and giggles? I know the Miracle Machine wasn't powered on the Life Equation. It doesn't matter what power source it draws from, it matters what it actually does. The Life Equation was what the Miracle Machine used to counter the effects of Darkseid's tampering with the DC Multiverse. So what else would a Life Equation counter but the Anti-Life Equation? Are you that dense?

BUT THE LIFE EQUATION DIDN'T FIX A GOD DAMN THING. It was used to break the remnants of Darkseid's control and finish him off.

It was Superman's wish for a happy ending that fixed things, not the life equation. You're the one who completely misread the story. 😬

And for the last time, the ALE did not warp the multiverse or cause the singularity. And you have no proof to back up your side.

The ALE had nothing to do with DS' singularity that was DS falling through reality. He then assumed a human host to arrest this fall and then began creating a singularity from that point with the intention of drawing the whole multiverse to his position and then ( I assume erasing all free will for all sentient beings).

DS has been described as the god of anti-life, meaning his entire being is in direct contradiction with the Life Equation. The issue wasn't the ALE itself (which is just knowledge of a sort) but Darkseid's actual spirit being expelled from reality.
