So he can see the illusion Thor's a throwing down.
That's what you meant.
MM can actually read brain waves and separate real from optical illusion, difficult for illusions to work on a telepath on MM's level.
Beyond that, he can turn invisible, so it's not like he doesn't have tricks of his own in that regard.

It was already created after the second word. It's comics.Either way, he knocks him back, and creates a shield. Then he creates the illusion that there's another Thor... but that Thor happens to be the real Thor.
If Thor drops his guard MM mind rapes him ftw.
Thor must be occupied by this.
Now if MM goes intangible I don't see how Thor can knock him back or even have time to make a shield (MM can still go through it). Illusions won't work since MM can sense Thor's mind. Plus Thor doesn't have time to do such things.

They will both begin the fight in stationary positions. Not to mention thor can also fly around at superspeed as well. Also thors lightning summoning is a mental process so it ocurs he thinks it
When the bell rings MM moves. I'm pretty sure MM can travel faster than lightning (even though he only needs to travel less than 1/10th of its speed to dodge it). Thus he can't get hit by any lightning.
This would be a good fight though. If MM moves and becomes intangible right after the bell then MM can take his time to do the mind rape attack combo strategy.

Sorry to break it to you but the hammer can hit intangible ppl. I do agree with the mind rape. He is one of the best in DCU. I will not downplay his capabilities.

He wont be able to dodge the lightning if he starts off with his full focus on trying to mindrape thor(which thor can resist). Plus Thor can reign down multiple lightning bolts even if MM dodges the first one.
Also, Thor can create winds powerful enough to hold back surtur and hurl huge asteroids at high speeds and even use them as forcefields. He could also start by creating such winds(along with his lightning bolts) in order to make it very difficult for MM to get close to him and thereby defending against physical attacks.
P.S -These scenarios are extremely out of character so i dont even know why we r arguing this in the first place.

I only argue with CIS off.
It takes significant time Thor time for to do anything.
Lightning and wind won't affect the intangible.
MM begins the figth by moving in a random direction while simultaneously becoming intangible. Fractions of a second later the mind rape- physical attack strategy begins.

It wont take thor a significant amount of time to do anything. Both he and MM will start the fight in stationary positions, If MM starts moving in a random directions in order to stop thors lightning KO it will give thor time to set up a forcefield and wind defense before the mind attack. When the mind attack does come, thor fights it off and because of his forcefield and wind defense MM will have to remain intangible in order to even get close to thor. Hence MMs physical attack strategy wil be nullified. Further thor can still affect intangible beings with mjolnir
I put some thought into this fight before posting and while it would be a fun fight to watch i can't picture MM beating classic Thor in a fight. While this is a big fight for MM it sounds like just another routine fight for Thor. MM doesn't bring anything that Thor has seen countless times before. MM might come off as having exotic powers and being a matchup nightmare for most powerhouse heroes. Telepathy, telekinesis, superspeed, superstrength, intangibility...that's nothing new for Thor. If pressed Thor could just one-shot him but i think Thor takes it without exerting any of his most powerful attacks.
On a different note, MM not having a weakness to fire doesn't seem right. Its like Superman and krytonite, you can't separate the two.

Since the "Infernus" storyline only fires of passion like arson can harm him.

I need to see proof that Thor can affect intangible beings with his hammer. In the Vision scan, Vision wasn't intangible when Thor affected him. It takes seconds (and not fractions of a second) for Thor to do anything. MM can both become intangible and begin to mind rape in fractions of a second to a second. Thor wouldn't have time to pull of a shield. Wind and lightning can not affect the intangible. So MM doesn't even have to move when the battle starts, just become intangible.
If MM, feeling arrogant and confident, sits there and lets Thor make the forcefield first then MM can still win easily. He just mind rapes while floating through the shield. After he is in, MM takes his time to dismantle Thor. MM can also travel inside Thor's ear canal to his brain and wreck some real physical damage there.

What vision wasnt intangible? Then how the hell was his hand inside thors body? Nonsense. Further it doesnt take thor seconds to anything i dont know where u r getting that from. MM becoming intangible wont do him much good since thor can affect the intangible and the physical route will fail because of thors, wind forcefield, lightning, attack and defense.
Thor can resist and MM mindrape and if MM becomes physical has ways of oneshotting him. MMs only real way of putting down thor is to punch him out and this wont be happeneing because of thors offense/defense

I can put my hand through water, wind, etc. depending on the density of the material, doesn't mean that those things were intangible.

Thors body isnt water its entirely solid. Visions hand was inside thors body and he hadnt yet solidified it yet so he was indeed intangible at that point( At the very worst the majority of his body was still intangible).
Also, the word "sufficiently" only indicates that he wasnt solidified yet. It indicates that at the point his density was low enough for his hand to pass through thors body without causing any damage. Which in essence is intangibility
