Yeah, it was nice eye candy, and I really digged the music, but at the same time, it doesn't explain shit about the plot. Drives me nuts just thinking about what direction they'll take it.

That's why first trailers are called teasers. Just images to grab your attention, intrigue you for when the next trailer comes, with more meat on the bone.

Thats like with Jason Statham with the Bank Job movie, He was'nt happy with Lionsgate how they did the trailer for the movie saying they've done the trailer to make it look like an action movie which it is'nt.

the pirate comic featured in the book is comiing out on dvd 3 days after the movie on becuse it was too diificult to put into the film.

Actually, it would have cost an extra 15+ million to include it in the movie as a live action story, so the producers opted to animate The Black Freighter story and release it on a separate dvd. However, anyone with half a brain should know that the Black Freighter story will, most likely, be included in future special edition dvd releases of Watchmen.

No real surprise they'd have to cut that out. I guess they could go on without it, but hey, still a nice part of the storyline.

also "under the hood" is coming on dvd

"Special Director's Cut Extended Unrated" edition, I'm sure.

pretty much

it will be edited back into the movie for its DVD release.
A 3-4 hours long movie as it was intended

... milking the cow for what it's worth

Can't wait to see this movie, it looks pretty awesome. Up until this year I had never heard of Watchmen but I can honestly say it will be awesome. It'll probably be up there with TDK as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.

You've never read the graphic novel and your basis for thinking it'll be one of the greatest superhero movies is based solely on the trailer? Lame.

I don't really dig Nite-Owls or Oxymandias costumes for the movie.

But those aren't really huge deals. Was it true that his costume was based on Shumacher's batman designs?

It seems that way: Ozymandias' costume has nipples 😑

I too don't like the costumes... and Jon's crystal palace (I think they should have stuck to the original design) other than that looks ok

How is it lame? The fact that I think it'll be pretty good and one of the best is because I'm excited because of the trailer and all of the featurettes I've read about it? Or are you calling me lame because you can't come to terms with the fact that you're a loser who can't keep his hand out of his pants? 😉
