Lol, except the only ones supporting Sephiroth are you and Wil, neither of which have any proof or logic on their side, this thread is SO once sided it's turned into "tell me how fast you think seph is, realisticly =]" While I sit and wait because I know full well no matter the answer this ends in a one shot, via a thrown [anything Link wants].
Originally posted by Scarlet Foxyou didn't read the thread at all, did you? Link from a signle game can beat Sephiroth with ease. o_o Really, go read. there's no logic to what you said, and Link and Cloud had a vs thread, which Link won, badly. Cloud got stomped, hard.
Cloud would totaly own Link and even he had trouble with Seph. your just going by all the Zelda games. Link has done all kinds of things true, but he is in more games then Seph. I mean please. SORA from Kingdom hearts could beat Link and I dont know anyone who beat Seph i n the colloseum.
It's never happened in any game because none of his opponents were strong enough. Link can casually throw objects that weigh over 1000 tons, an apple thrown by him would become a fruity comet and obliterate Seph.
My BS? The only hole in that is that the apple would burn up in the atmosphere. So, Link throws somethign with more structural integrity.. and Seph just flat out dies. It's that easy for Link. 😬
Lootic, I cannot believe you just said the bones of a human being are stronger then steel, you go punch some steel until your bones or the steel breaks, tell me which breaks first.

Also that teleportation thing you linked, has absolutely nothing to do with the teleoportation that we are talking about. That is essentially talking about the ability to 'teleport' 'data' inside one ion to another using a third ion. If Sephiroth teleported like that he would duplicate himself.
Quote from that link: "When physicists talk about "teleportation", they are describing the transfer of "quantum states" between separate atoms. " (Basically moving a qubit)
I have to agree with Terryc250, it is a fictional game and no amount of scientific explanation will change the way Sephiroth teleports.
Look, I don't know why everyone is having trouble understanding Sephiroths teleportation feat, Sephiroth at the time was on the other side of the world, controlling a crappy version of himself.
Sephiroth is always on the recieving end of those 'crators' and just stands there blocking the force being pushed down on him, it IS a legitimate show of his durability AND strength. Also I don't know what light show you are referring to with Cloud and Sephiroth? Please go read the Ultimania, you will need to buy it, it was created by official sources(SE) and either published by them or published by a third party. There is a lot of quotes in there like: Time was slowed significantly when Cloud done his Omnislash, Sephiroth could have easily defeated Cloud and Sephiroth is the most powerful character in FF:VII (Some people say this is because of the NL but this was never alluded to at all).
I now understand ScreamPastes point and I concede to it, Link is durable enough to lift it, he just doesn't have the strength, however that doesn't mean Sephiroth can't cut him. Going by the logic of if you can't put the same amount of pressure per inch as that pillar can put on link, then you can't cut him would mean that Link can't even cut himself without the gauntlets, which seems wierd, but okay.
Surviving lifting a pillar is not the same as surviving a sword cut at a weaker ppi. Example: If you get your keyboard and swing it at your friends hand with as much force as you can muster , it would probably only bruise it (badly); now get a kitchen knife and slice down on your friends other hand with half as much force as before and what would you expect? Is it because his hand is less durable then the other? no, it is because you used a different medium i.e. Slicing instead of Crushing. I haven't researched but I believe this is because of the sharp point.
I am afraid Sephiroth can cut Link, as Sephiroth can cut through multiple layers of steel without feeling any resistance at all, his sword just keeps moving through it as if it is air because of Sephiroths strength. Also are you saying that Link can't be hurt by materia?
Voyeur, I think you misunderstood ScreamPastes point instead of me, so do I get to insult your intelligence?
ScreamPaste, in a combat situation do you literally believe that Link would be able to get an Apple OR ANYTHING and throw it at Sephiroth before Sephiroth could do something? Sephiroth wouldn't give him a chance to grab anything, even his own sword.
