I enjoy how the backgrounds of these pictures are the biggest part of the person's appearance.

Edit: I laughed at the voice thing. The only parts of voice you have from Link are him yelling, and that gay CD-i Link which is honestly more fail than words can describe.

Sephiroth's voice is pretty masculine, English at least.

K, so a 16 year old Link trying to look reassuring vs Seph on fire trying to look menacing, and Link /still/ looks less feminine. Also, Sephiroth's voice is a lot softer, and he speaks quietly like some kind of dramaqueer.

It's not a skirt, I reiterate, by that logic Sephiroth's jacket is also a skirt, and longer, too.

Link's jacket is not a skirt.
