I think the news made everyone day, I mean the real let down with the single player mode was the infinite enemy respawns.

there hasnt been a single game thats come out in the last year and a half that can top this. there simply isnt. its impossible.

Bioshock 2 would've owned Modern Warfare 2 if it wasn't delayed but since it is, MW2 is 2009's game of the year.

edit- well i should restrain myself. i obviously can not see the future and weve only seen glimpses of the two games. but when i look at this:

If SC2 comes out in 2009, Modern Warfare 2 can kiss GotY goodbye. At least in my not-so-humble opinion. But then again, there are plenty of game reviewers who hand out the Game of the Year title, some of them do it genre-by-genre.

Also found that the regular edition of the game here in the UK will be priced at £55 and to put that in perspective the special edition of Batman Arkham Asylum will be priced at £50 and that's with the extras.

Needless to say I'm not buying the game until I see a price cut, or I'll just get it used.

so what you're saying is you'd prefer arkham asylum.. which is a super auto-guard dash-punch spam fest (albiet probably a good adventure, save for the crappy combat), over what seems to be game of the year material? o_O

I'm all for a good beat-em-up.. but the demo I played of AA really wasnt good at all
