STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Descent

Started by REXXXX35 pages

Kosta comes from an icy world ruled by a "fearless leader" type. When not working for Xeth, he's trying to overthrow that dictatorship. Still, he's a product of his culture. Quite the soldier, though he favors his lightsabers over his rifle.

"We'd best be cautious, comrade," Kosta says. "The Syndicate is still dangerous, even if we're moreso."

You get the impression that he would be a Master if he had not gone rogue.

-

Densk is more the brooding type; his Master was killed at some point in his history and he is always trying to track the Dark Jedi that did it. He never made it to Knighthood.

"If you ever hear the name 'Nume Rand,' call me," Densk says. He says little else.

-

Delfedd is still fresh and eager for action. He just left the Temple to pursue his own path.

"This is going to be a cakewalk," Delfedd says. "I've been through much worse than THIS, and WITHOUT back-up! Say, nice pistol! Any good with it?"

"Yeah I know that first hand, friend" to Kosta.

Nothing really to Densk (what do you say to that)

"I'm alright with it. Saved my life a couple of times. I prefer my sabre, but it's a trusty and useful companion. I see you got a blaster, too, you don't see too many Jedi with guns, interesting to meet so many with Xeth, and a vibro blade, haven't seen many of those, how come you use that?".

He'll ask all of them though why they are with Xeth and how they like it, and if they find it hard to follow the light side without the temple's assistance.

"So I've heard," Kosta says. "Your injuries won't hinder you too much, I hope."

-

"Yeah, I'm not much good with the blaster," Delf admits. "My Master believed one should be good with everything, just in case I ever find myself separated from my lightsaber. The Force forbid, though."

"I hope not, I feel mostly ok. But it should be fine"

"That's smart of your master, I understand that very well, I try to branch out my skills, too. When you out in the galaxy you never know what might be handy. Of course I hope never to end up without my sabre, but I know some martial arts to protect me even then. "

(nice reference there, Rex 😛)

"Good," Kosta says.

In regards to working with Xeth- "He keeps me grounded. I've got my own agenda but I can't throw everything into the Revolution. From that comes attachment and temptation."

-

Densk does not wish to comment on your question.

-

"Xeth's my connection to the action, really," says Delf. "I've hardly stepped off of Coruscant. I have no contacts or connections at all. Xeth does. And why should this life be any harder than if I stuck to what I was doing before?"

"That is wise, Kosta. I know how tempting it can be to just look at one mission and nothing else."

"Hmm, I guess it might not be. For me it's been hard, I mean I've always been with my master before, being on my own has been nothing but temptation. I enjoyed a lot of it, of course, but I can feel the danger I am in pursuing it without any guidance."

"Indeed," Kosta says. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish preparing..."

-

"I guess. Sounds like you've not adapted well to a violent lifestyle."

"Of course".

"You are right about that. I don't think I want a violent lifestyle anyways. I guess I will see what happens next."

I will too finish the last preparations. Perhaps ask Xeth what the exact plan is for me. Also whether I actually lead the squad or whether Vear ultimately does.

Xeth will ask if you want to lead or if you would rather Vear lead.

"We'll see how you do here," Xeth says, "before we make any plans."

"I think I should lead it to show you that I can. Unless you think it is too risky? I've lead squads before in the war on Vono'k of course, as you know, but I think Vear with his experience will be a great help."

Leadership would probably help.

Yes, it would. What's your score?

A whooping 0.

Maybe imma let Vear lead...

Must be said, your efforts on Vono'k were pretty disorganized!

Vear will lead then. Xeth tells you that there is always time to work on such things.

"You are right" Con will say, though he will also think that that might not be the case if they take him in to Coruscant.

So I guess Con's ready.

With everyone prepared and gathered, you jump into your hovervans and get going, splitting off in separate directions from the car park underneath Joon's complex. Vear opts to drive the speeder while you ride shotgun.

It is a short drive to your destination, an empty construction site. Accompanied by ten men in black armor, Vear guides you into the lot.

"There should be an open pipe near the center," Vear says. "From there we can hop in and get to the Malik's warehouse. It will take about an hour navigating with the map. I'm hoping your Jedi senses can speed things up."

"I will do my best to help with that"

Can I use sense to help?

In conjunction with the holographic map that Vear brought along, it should help nicely.

"Good," Vear says before trudging ahead. As predicted, there is an unearthed sewer pipe at about the center of the site. It smells awful; the top of the pipe has been broken open for maintenance.

I'll go ahead and see how it looks, if Vear doesn't mind.

Going into the pipe first?

Yeah. Show some initiative, haha
