STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Descent

A minimum of a hundred, a max of two hundred.

"Thank you, Con," Xeth says. "We believe that the 'dance hall' was only a third of the warehouse."

"Do we have any theories about the rest of the warehouse?" Clarion asks.

"Quarters, storage, garages... nothing exact," Xeth says.

"What is your plan?"

Xeth outlines a very simple and direct plan.

The sewer system running beneath the warehouse is big enough for everyone to move through that is part of their sting. The Jedi going with the strike team- of which there are six, including youself- will cut through the floor of the warehouse and move in to take down the Malik and his thugs present in the warehouse.

"This is all possible thanks to the evidence you have collected, Con, and by Joon's pleading his case to the Senate in a request for aid. We want the Malik alive to answer for the crimes he has committed against Luon. The more arrests the better, but we do not expect anyone to come quietly. The Malik's arrest is mandatory."

"What about the Votive?"

"You and I will retrieve it," Xeth says.

"I will do my best. Thank you for giving me this chance"

Xeth just gives you a nod.

"Between six Jedi and Joon's security force, this should be no probem."

"Won't that leave me exposed?" Joon asks nervously.

"We are sending you to Coruscant aboard my ship, with my R3 unit," Xeth says.

"I cannot leave Luon!" Joon says.

"You have to, Joon. It's for the good of Luon"

"It very much is not!" Joon says. "It disqualifies me from the election!"

"What can we do about that, Xeth?"

"I'm... not sure," Xeth says. "We need all of Vear's mercenaries for the sting to go accordingly."

"Leave me a Jedi and you can have them all," Joon says.

"Can we do that without jeopardizing our operation, Xeth?"

"I am loathe to, but... it could be done..." Xeth says.

"I want Master Clarion as my protector," Joon interrupts again. "Otherwise, you are on your own. In the long-run, I am what is best for Luon."

Xeth starts to protest but Clarion stills him.

"I have no objections," Clarion says. "It is a much better alternative to storming the Malik's warehouse ourselves. Five Jedi are still very effective."

"Why do you want Master Clarion, Joon?"

"It's in your question," Joon says "'Master' says it all. She's the best!"

"That is true. Very well, when will we attack?"

"Tomorrow," Xeth says. "Clarion, I trust you will see to it that Joon is moved in secret so that none, not even we, know where he is. Eveyone else... make preparations. The Malik's reign of terror is over."

The meeting is over, leaving Con and company to ready themselves for battle.

Any preparations that Con wishes to make? Vear (reluctantly) returns your weapons, and remember that you are suffering a -1 penalty to Agility for getting badly injured in the lobby shootout.

Con's ready for the attack. But he'd talk to Xeth if possible. Ask about what Xeth is actually doing and what his relationship to the council is.

Xeth is rather loud-mouthed so he is happy to talk with you as he cleans and prepares his weapons. In addition to his lightsaber, he uses a sonic blaster from his homeworld and a grenade launcher with varying ammunition types.

"My relationship with the Council is... decent," Xeth says. "I still need to go by the laws of the Republic with my vigilantism, and it helps having the Order behind you. Not that I'm particularly favored or anything. I prefer to do my own thing."

"How do you know what the right thing is though. I've been doing my own thing for the last couple of years and it hasn't worked out so far"
