I am not going to point out the loophole. But yes, there is a way to legitimately gain the Phoenix Force. Clear as day light, I am sure of it. It does not even matter if you neuter the characters into Phoenixless avatars.

I am sending you the PM.

I may be sleepy, but right now I can think of only one cheap and high-meta'ish way...but require amalgamation (probably).

K, so I'm getting questions about the speed cap.

It's been claimed that Iron Man is > Mach 10 (the current speed cap), so characters should be allowed to be drafted if they are capable of going > Mach 10.

Maybe we shouldn't have a speed cap at all, and just leave it at the idea that if they're > high meta, they get banned?

Seems ambiguous.

Thoughts?

Iron Man isn't that fast, I remember seeing him push to Mach 7-8 one time in the last few years but normally he doesn't get above mach 3.

Any official time for this starting up? I am interested in participating but I won't be able to put serious effort in for the next 10 days or so.

Just ban mutants. Far easier.

how about we ban digi

We've seen Iron Man go into outer space which requires a minimum speed of escape velocity.

Escape velocity>>>Mach 10

Best idea I've ever heard.

...fine by me. Though judging by recent tourneys we've had, that puts the list of reliable judges for this thing back down to 0.

srug

1, actually.

We actually have a couple of judges.

But you should stay.

The more the better.

Most armors actually need to install additional equipment to do it, even during the Collective arc he mentioned he had to prepare his armor to get into space.

SPECIFICATION:

"4. No one-hit kill (OHK) abilities (example: dismemberment via teleportation of limbs/objects into vitals, etc.)."

People CAN draft character's capable of OHK'ing, they just can't use these powers in battle. People drafting Blink, for instance, couldn't teleport items inside other people.

I'll try and add this to the front page under rule 4.

SPECIFICATION:

As was stated before, speed will not be capped. However, the person in question must be in the power levels of this tournament. If they are found to be over they will be banned. No excuses. If you are as upfront with Smurph and I as possible, none of you should have that problem.

Also, Time manipulation is also banned.

Well I definetly approve of some of these bannings, as I thought the last tournys were getting a tad silly with some of the characters that were let in.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Trick's been banned from judging.

Between his horrible tourney record and the fact that he downright hates me, I'm not about to depend on him to be responsible in any way for this tourney.
