im actually not so sure there's many directors that will do a joker now.....

besides the dark knight was great but i want a new villain....one with not a lot of face time in the media

there aren't any, i don't believe, besides the joker will return back in a batman film, but that is at least 10 to twenty years from now..

I have known about this for months.. Nolan said this before and now he makes it official

I know. Just figured I'd point out the 'official' news to anyone still doubting that Joker won't return.

Ithink they should use Riddler and Bane. One that can match Batman mentally, and One that can match him physically. Would make for a good dynamic.

i've long thought two face is indeed alive and yeah nolan isn't the type to kill off main characters just for the sake of it so i will not be surprised if i read that eckhart is retuning

I agree that Nolan isn't the type of guy to kill off a main character just for the sake of doing it, but I also believe that Nolan is the type of guy who would like to leave it up for interpretation. Thus, bringing Two Face back would no longer leave it up to interpretation, so I don't think Nolan would bring him back. This is similar to Ras Al Guhl (sp?). Nolan knows that Ras can't die in the comics and it would piss off fans if he did so, so they make him fall to an implied death, but never confirm whether or not he is dead.
