Batman 3 Discussion Thread

Heys Guys,

Just thinking about the possible villains for Batman 3 (its exam block and I hate studying).

My latest theory is Shawnee Smith as Harley Quinn. Not pretty Shawnee Smith from Becker, but uglified, half mad Shawnee Smith from the Saw movies !!! I think Nolan could really work her into the plot, as seeking revenge for the Joker, maybe because the Joker's been sent to Arkham Asylum (one of my favourite settings of the Batman franchise), and really play down her beauty, paint her as a grimy joker-like character rather than a pretty catwoman type. . I think this character, along with a Philip Seymour Hoffman penguin would be amazing, and would meet the unwritten '2 villains per movie' requirement for Batman.

I'd love to hear what you guys think!

I haven't heard Shawnee Smith suggested before, but all the other ideas you have said have been talked about countless times (such as a Joker like Quinn, and PSH as Penguin). I don't know Shawnee's acting well enough to say whether or not she would be good, but my biggest problem with the rest of the ideas is that it has been suggested so often by fans that it no longer feels original, and thus I expect Nolan to be more creative than the average fan.

not believing this just yet, Depp also worked with Bale on Public Enemies and that is how that rumor got started and since Levitt worked with Nolan on Inception it is only natural for mor4e rumors to start, besides a lot of people didn't care for his portrayal of Cobra Commander in the G.I. Joe film

Joel Schumaker should be banned as a traitor to the country and dealt with accordingly for what he did to Batman

I'd prefer and would really like Penguin, but especially not Riddler, too obvious, too much like the Joker, just wouldn't work.

I'd like to see Talia Al Ghul, Clayface or Killer Moth, something...different, but still great.

How is the Riddler like the Joker? I think Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman would be welcomed. Not all three of course. Maybe you could just introduce Selins Kyle and not have her become Catwoman? I'd just love to see the Riddler done right. I think he's fitting for Nolans universe.

Penguin could be the new crime lord to rule them all in Gotham seeing how the various mob gangs are in dissaray after Joker. Penguin could become the new top dog in town ala Falcone's role in Batman Begins. All the while having Riddler rob banks or commit mystery killings.

Clayface would be a step in the wrong direction as far as I'm concerned.

C. Nolan says he wants to keep them realistic and he would rather not use super beings........not and exact quote but you get the just.

Nolan has also said there will be no Mr.Freeze.

Aww, come on. No Bane as well then I'm presuming?

Could change Bane to be a steroid man.

I really, really want Penguin as the new mafia boss. It would also be new to see a guy that isn't insane as a villain.

johnny depp-as the riddler can you think of anyone better? imagine the mad hatter in green meets captain jack sparrow.

christian bale should play batman and shia lobuo should play robin

i think bane should be in it and have the part played by a wrestler. nathan jones would play a good bane

and finally perhaps angilina jolie should play catwomen

heath ledger was a joke as the joker and so was the character plot of the joker itself. ****in knives and scars? you guys and gals dont reallyknow batman too well
