You mentioned that the fight is taking place in the sewers, but adding Lizardmen over which The Lizard has telepathic control is just a cruelty.
But saying he never hits him is ridiculous. Thing has some pretty decent agility feats.

Going by that logic, I could say sooner or later Lizard's going to get tired and Ben pops his head like a melon. Going by the fights they've had, Ben has more stamina. He's fouhght Champion, Namor, Thor, Hulk, and held his own for long amounts of time. He's not getting tired first. And for the record, he's actually beaten Namor underwater, where he's strongest.

I don't know who has greater stamina.
The fight is taking place in the sewers. NYC sewers I guess. It's basically Lizard's kingdom. He could retreat only to come up with a surprise attack later.

If he retreats, it gives Ben a chance to rest as well.
And think about it, Lizard routinely fights Spider-Man and other heroes/villains around that level. Ben fights Class 100+ bruisers like Hulk, Namor, Hercules, Colossus. What do you think is more draining?

I wasn't just talking about raw power, I was talking about stamina as well. Each of Ben's fights is roughly 10 times more strenuous than Lizards. Plus Ben's only real weak point is his eyes, and his eyelids are just as tough as the rest of him, close his eyes, problem solved.
Plus, if Connor's is in control, his fighting will be terrible, the whole reason Lizard is a good fighter if because of his animalistic savagery, if Connor's is in control, he doesn't have that, and his fighting skills are sub par at best. While Ben is an accomplished boxer and street fighter.
