It's also mostly old and weakened people that die, I believe.

Not from this one, apparently.

Yeah, from this, it is almost no one.

they said that it is the type H1N1, which has already caused epidemias. it was the spain-fever at the beginning of the XX century, and later some flu in hong kong and some in Russia, around 50s and 70s if I remember right.

and actually they have possibility of making the vaccine. but apparently they don't wanna.

"They" say a a lot.

yeah.. i had a lecture about flu few weeks ago.. [before the swine-panic] and the doctor said that they are prepared to make a vaccine to any type of flu that is getting spreaded..
but it is said that the new one is mutated so I don't know.

They are making a vaccine. The UK already paid a company for one that wont exist for 4 months.

really? I didn't know about that.. but 4 months is a long time..

It's because a vaccine has to be specific to the virus and so they have to map the genetic sequence of the virus.

I know that. but on the lecture the guy said that they have prepared antigens for all fenotypes and only need to mix it. and why genetic?

I had a fever last week, and I started getting worried that I had Swine Flu. I tried calling the helpline, but all I heard was crackling. I also developed a rash and a bit of a fever, but I put on some oinkment and it all went away.

Stay safe, kids.

Because that's how you make the most effective modern anti-viral drugs. By targetting them at the genetic level. It also helps to avoid the survival of a mutated virus and thus combats resistance.

Only Mexicans by the looks of it

I meant that most of the victims were apparently healthy, rather than in traditional vulnerable groups.

Two confirmed cases in Michigan now.

nuts

Oh well, at least it will help the jobless problem when it hits its peak in winter.

yeah, drugs, but vaccine is to make ppl resistant. ss IMO it is about antigens and stuff. fenotypes and not genotypes.. however I'm not perfectly sure bag

You know what happens when you get swine flu?

You rest up, and then you probably get better.
