Wrong, his insane luck and antics set up that scenario. Any other man would have been shredded by it's bullets long before, not even had the chance to jump on it while it spun out of control and still managed to survive, yet another McClane feat, jumping on jets.

He's killed like 2 or 3 random civilians in that movie and he was killed by a taxi cab driver. He really showed no phenomenal skill. You don't have to be a crack shot to kill a guy with a pistol when you're armed with automatics and armor.

Exactly, they got it due to McClane's insane luck, right when he runs out of bullets, just then it falls and sets off the explosion that kills them and saves McClane. Good point, RJ.

Listen, you're obviously angleing for Swagger to win, so why just make it that they're all lined up in a row in a large open field and Swagger is far away, in an elevated position and has a super sniper rifle that fires mini lightsabres, be easier.

He isnt. Murtaugh cant touch McClane as a gunman.

Luck would almost certainly allow him extra good shooting that night.
