Gideon (R.I.P.) made a good point about that. Kenobi (despite his words in the ANH novel) and Yoda didn't have a galaxy under their control, and weren't endeavoring to use that fact to collect every bit of knowledge of the Force their agents could locate. Palpatine didn't just "level up" in DE. Even with a comparatively hindered power-base, he was studying for his final exam.

And they seemed to take the Force Lightning equally well imo, Galen just decided to suicide rather than face two pissed off Sith.

The script (a higher canon source than your sourcebooks and novels) says otherwise, even implying that Yoda could have ended things very early if he hadn't made such a PIS maneuver. I believe we've been over this before.

I think what people seem to miss in the Marek vs. Emporer fight is that Marek was Forced to take the Emporer head on to save the rebels.

He might have stood a better chance if he took him on more tactically. Leaping around, dodging his FL hitting back with Force TK. Im sure Marek would have been more agile than Sidious at this point.

As for Yoda being better than ROTS Sidious?? He tried his best to kill him. It was an assanination mission. And the fact is he culdnt do it.

What? Yoda whoops Marek? Starkiller is a BEAST in the force! He singlehandedly RIPPED a star destroyer OUT OF ORBIT, and smashed it into the ground with the Star Destroyer's engines in full reverse! that's power right there!

Add in that he killed lots of stormtroopers and other enemies, and you have a pretty open and shut case for Marek.

Don't forget that he pulled Vader's lightsaber out of his hand when he was only a child. AND his clone beat Vader. And as we all know that the clone is just a weaker version of the original (the game makes that clear), I think we can all agree that no incarnation of Yoda can beat Vader, and thus cannot beat Marek.
