Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher

So can Snake use the terrain but he doesn't always have to, where Sam needs to.

Based on Sam's experience with using snow and ice terrains to his advantage (Iceland and Serbia missions) he probably takes scenario 1.

Which has been my point all along (More or less). I'm not denying that Snake is the better soldier in a shitload of aspects.

But like I said, I give up. It's not good for my currently hyperactive state of mind to go insane.

Ah go on, its fun. Gave me something to do every time I failed an assassination on Hitman and needed a minute break.

My health > Your entertainment, sir 😎

You can stop for the sake of your hair.

My hair > Your entertainment

I'm sure its lovely hair so I would have to agree this time.

You'd love it mmm

I'm considering being a hair dresser so I probably would.

That sounds awesome!

Hmm well I always was unsure about what I would like to do but the idea of cutting hair seems to have stuck in my mind longer than anything else so yes could be.

Considering 2 of my auntys cut hair I can always get some home practice to lol.

I'm sorry Cowgirl, I literally registered here for the sole purpose of disowning this reasoning, but if you expect to make someone who has played ALL SIX of the mainstream MGS games (as well as Twin Snakes and Portable Ops) and expect them (me) to believe that Sam Fisher is "superior" to Solid Snake, HELL, even OLD SNAKE (as one person mentioned about the CQC fight in Act 4 of MGS4), then you are full of BS.

That video seemed to be your "leading" reason as of Sam's superiority, so I capitilized on it. I've also noticed that you dodged a LOT of the speculation and reference towards what Snake has accomplished in relavence to Sam, which makes me think that you have never even played an MGS game or at least not all the way through one.

Don't feel wronged, I've never actually played a Splinter Cell game myself and I've been looking to start on the series however it is just as rare being a PS1 title (though obviously less acclaimed than MGS as there is no collection and it came out after MGS, Thief, and Tenchu had POPULARIZED the stealth genre).

But my direct view on this battle is one thing only:

Sam Fisher is part of a secret agent group/unit, similar to how one might view Revolver Ocelot, Meryl Silverburgh, Solid Snake from the original two Metal Gear Games, or even Big Boss from the original MGS3 games were. Now, without getting all angsty about "Solid Snake was cloned from Big Boss", Solid Snake has been shown "even in his hold age" to be created as a tier "above" what most Black Ops members are supposed to be. Not judged on gameplay, of course.

Note in MGS2 when Snake and Raiden (who regardless of fanboyism are stated to be equivalent in canon, boo-hoo illegitimate Raiden-haters) handle and operate superiorily to the initial SEAL units who are rescuing the President. I imagine Sam Fisher equivalent to the SEALS, he's part of Third Echelon however and that is why I intend to play the series soon to discover the exact "level" of this organization and whether it is equal to the procedural FOXHOUND unit of MGS fame or SSC (mercenary corporation with members Rios and Salem acting on a level I've seen to be VERY similar to what I've seen Sam Fisher do in the trailers for Conviction) from Army of Two.

TMO.

I'm sorry to cost you all this time, but I'm saying only this in response:
Your post changed nothing for me. My opinion stands as strong as ever. Sam has more than a good chance of winning the first fight. At least the majority, if not all rounds in the first battle I think goes to Sam.

Well, simple question, have you played an MGS game and if so which? Or are you only basing assumptions off of Splinter Cell fanatacism and brief, undetailed, rather ridiculous reports from some of those who have repleid already? OR are you making assumptions and I missed the comment where you said "I don't intend on duking this out, I simply think Sam is better and nothing you say will change that or make me change that".

And I hope you're not a summer.

Actually, I'm rather in agreement with C.C. here. I think Snake will, overall, be the victor, but in the first scenario, I think Sam could fare very well. I've only played a minute bit of Splinter cell (couldn't get into it/didn't have time), but I've played all of the original MGS (and replayed to get the extras), and I have to say Sam's style could very well give him a small edge over Snake. It'd be not unlike Snake dealing with Sniper Wolf again, only with a much more dangerous and versatile opponent.

Snake wins obviously.

In any normal scenario, yes, but despite what everyone is saying about Snake, the 1st fight is tipped in Sam's favor. Significantly.

Says you.

But considering what both of them can and do do, I'm giving it to Snake.

Why?

1. Sam Fisher
2. Solid Snake majority
3. Solid Snake
