Michael Jackson dies at 50.

Sadako, I don't believe you deserve the stigma of paedophilia if you "might" be one.

Because that implies you might not be, and if I wasn't a paedophile, I'd hate to be labelled one on the grounds that I might be. Put yourself in his shoes. It doesn't matter if you did shit that warranted "suspicion", because if you hadn't done anything, you'd be pissed at being judged for doing so.

"Pick one" means that Jacko was so outrageous that we have many ways to pick at him. Why "call me" on it? Unless you think it is not a factual statement.

It wasn't was it? You don't have any reason to "Pick one".

You said "Pick one" as in "Pick one, there are many reasons he deserved to be ****ed with.". That's implied from the comment you replied to, from Bardock.

So no, there are no reasons for him to be "****ed with", because the reasons you gave are not a shred of anyone's business. Just like your personal choices are not any reason to **** with you, because they're nobody's business.

However, I admit that he, like you, put SOME of it out there in a manner that begged curiosity. NOT abuse, NOT harrassment.

What warrants such a comment as that? Well, what warrants you thinking you have the right to tell others where and how to post? Did someone suddenly make you a moderator? No? OK then. Until they do, stfu about how and where I post and how I post.

Chill out, female.

I wasn't telling you with any authority, I believe I even said it was a suggestion. So learn to read or put the book down, you don't get points for trying in THIS classroom.

And did you REALLY compare me being a bit immature to Wacko Jacko? crylaugh

No, I wouldn't insult the man like that. He's way more honest about his maturity.

You've got a way to go yet.

Anyway, this is yet another debate where, not unlike a screaming child, you'd got the attention you want and still had nothing to say. Shame, I go away from KMC for a bit and I expected some people to grow up.

Alright seriously guys, stop it. This is another thread now basically ruined by your feuding. AC, we equally might have expected you to grow up yourself in your time away; some hope that was.

If you two carry this on there will be warnings.

Sure. Accepted.

Me neither.

But if it looks so bad...and he deserved more stigma-of-suspicion than most by his own actions.

But in the interests of scientific truth, I will say then instead of "Nonce" "Man who acted like a nonce and was rightly highly suspected of being one, with alot of supporting evidence that some of the allegations may have been true" if it makes you happier.

Being 300 million in debt (how the hell does anyone get 300 million in debt?), holding his infant over a balcony (yeah, real safe, Jacko), sleeping with young children (whether he actually molested them or not isn't the question, it's the fact that he chose to share a bed with them.) These are the "pick ones" I spoke of. These are not "lifestyle choices", these are boneheaded errors in judgement, to say the least.

You telling me that if your child came home and told you that MJ slept in the same bed as they did, you'd be cool with it?

I bet Mohammed Ali is pissed. I thought he copyrighted that.... 😛

I thought his was just, "I am the greatest."

Did Ush get totally ignored then?

Nope, I don't get it at all.

He said that all the time, for sure.

But I thought it was a legal trademark thing.

Moff, Ush said feuding.

As long as it's on topic, it's not anything to worry about, nor is it feuding. I'm not responsible for anyone's grudges. This is a topical debate.

How the Hell does anyone feel him being 300 million dollars in debt is relevant, or their business? Answer me that and I'll answer your question.

The fact that he chose to share a bed with them is nothing more than an unusual practice, to me. It's also, as above, none of my business. It's none of yours, it's nobody's. Right? Right. The media making themselves known does not make it your business.

As for the baby thing, that's one thing I didn't understand. He doesn't deserve to be abused and harrassed for it. It doesn't then make the rest of it true.

1) As I keep having to explain to you; then it would be my kid, my business.

2) Short answer: Yes. Long answer: if my child came to me and said that's all that happened, I'd have choices to make. A choice as to whether I was fine with them doing that, or a choice as to whether I'd say "Hey, Mike. Listen, I appreciate the hospitality and all, but if they're gonna stay over, I'd rather them have separate beds.".

There are a billion and one better ways to handle it than "YOU ARE TOUCHING MY KIDS! GIVE ME 16 MILLION!".

-AC

Ok, I'll put it this way.

Please keep this topic to things relevant to his death and its circumstances. It is clear that debates about his past and his controversies are simply swamping the thread to the detriment of its point. If you want to debate his life, open a thread about it in the celebrities section.

And if that is done and it gets personal in there as well, warnings will still come. And AC- a grudge like that is a two-way street.

edit.

Michael Jackson's actions were and are our business because he was a public figure who wanted to live in the public sphere. While his monetary issues are a private matter the sleeping with children is our business because it is a possible indicator of a crime. MJ shared baths with children and beds with them- this is societies business because MJ was a Society Leader.

Was he a paedophile? I suspect that he was missing a few screws and perhaps did something stupid with a child (or maybe children) such as an inappropriate question or touching. I doubt it was malicious or even harmful. I really doubt that he did anything outright illegal either and I think we have to remember that in the original allegation case the mother was with MJ and her son when they were together, saw what was going on and never did anything about it. Apparantly nothing inappropriate happened until she realised how much money could be made from it.

[edit] Didn't see Ush' post until after I had posted this.

Replied in the thread in the Celebrities forum.

Edit: Will reply after. Have other things to do, but will reply later.

Dude he shared BATHS with them too?

When I heard the news that he died. I thought that it had to be a hoax... like the Jeff Goldblum death reports.

oops my bad.

Nope, I don't get it at all.

In his post, Sadako makes reference to Michael being "The Greatest of All Time." in jest as a trademark infringement against Mohamed Ali.

I, rather seriously, replied that I thought it was just simply "I am the greatest." Meaning, not all of "I am the greatest of all time."

As it turns out, Sadako was right. It really is "I am the greatest of all time." as seen by his link.

Does that make sense, now?

Yeah but he did used to verbally brag "I am the greatest", " Im the greatest thing that ever lived" etc so I can understand the confusion over time.

But yeah all these G.O.A.T tag appliers certainly owe Ali a few quid, by the looks of it..... 😛

A nice shot of him with Jackson before his transformation into Diana Ross.

Yup. That's why I assumed it wasn't with the "of all time." I can hear his soft yet assured "I am the greatest" in my head, right now. He said just that so many times in front of the press.

lulz

It's frivolous suites that could come of those, that I despise...But then again, people deserve to keep their TM as their own.
