Where did he state there would be no White Lantern? The only time I've heard anything to do with Geoff John's and White Lanterns was the ifanboy interview and he avoided the question.

If Blackest Night Titans Tie in (try saying that fast) is anything to go by, it seems likely the Dove's will play an important role in Blackest Night. The original Dove can't be resurrected by Black power rings and the female Dove was unreadable on the Black Lantern's emotional spectrum vision.

Johns said Hal wouldn't try on every ring he never said there wouldn't be a White Lantern. Even if he did claim there wouldn't be one I wouldn't trust him, it's too much his style.

Finally caught up. Didn't see the ressurection of

Spoiler:
Xabshi
coming at all. Loved Larfleeze's expression. Enjoyed the fight between Sinestro and Carol, as i wasn't expecting her to acquit herself so well.

BN: Titans wasn't bad either. Loved the Hawk and Dove bits, and i like this thing Johns has been building up with Dove. It's an interesting angle.

Peace = life = essence of white lanterns, or something? I dunno.

i'd love to see j'onn and arthur brought back to life, though.

nice book, though, and great to see benes back doing regular books (big dry spell bar Batman 687 and a few covers).

Flash Rebirth? Meh. His wanking of Barry is just silly at this point. So now he

Spoiler:
created the speed force
. Wonderful. At least Wally got to do something useful, though if Johns kills Linda, i won't be happy.

whoever the white lanterns turns out to be i just know at least one of the dr lights will be their main avatar

Page 2 of Flash: Rebirth #4:

Barry: "I... killed you."

Thawne: "I have a resurrection of my own in the days ahead, Barry. Thanks to a good friend of yours."

There's the end of "Blackest Night" right there, folks. Everyone gets resurrected and I'm 99.9% certain that the good friend of is his Hal *cough* White Lantern *cough*.

Seriously if that how it runs out, I'll just........

facepalm

I'm going to the movies. Need to clean the taste of that issue out of my mind.

It seems Grundy is going to get himself a Black Ring.

I'm surprised Grundy isn't targeted by the Black corps, like Barry and Hal are. But I guess you could say the entire universe is "targeted"

Thing i notice with the BL's is that they keep their powers. With that said, how does this change Grundy? Hes already dead, he already regenerates, he jumps really far. Does he get flight now? If this is Hulk-like Grundy, is he even smart enough to use the ring?

My second question is can the BL rings shoot and make constructs?

i loved how

Spoiler:
abin sure used a construct with his ring,
personally.

That's a good point. Isn't the point of Blackest Night to deal with resurrections? People like Hal and Barry should be at the top of the hit list but so should Grundy ✅

Perhaps it's just because Grundy isn't as mainstream as GL or FLash....

from what i gather the BL rings are only targeting those who are currently deceased..not the undead or already resurrected...since they just harshly killed Hawkman and Hawkgirl im sure those two arent gonna remain dead for too long....im going out on a limb here but i feel that after Blackest Night is complete some of the resurrections will be permanent and its gonna take some plot device as predicatble but not entirely lame as Dove, and dr. light's white light purging them of all the filthy blackness

grundy as a black lantern..... didn't see that coming.. ermm

I'm glad that Ronnie Raymond is being used for the first time in a while as a major character, and not as some guy to be killed off by a not to big super villain.

I enjoyed the Green Lantern Corps #40.

Spoiler:
Seems Sodam Yat isn't actually dead. Salaak was pretty badass. Bzzt and Guy were badass too. I hope that this isn't a forshadowing of Guy getting the short end of the stick. I was proud of Kyle and Kyle's display of so many emotions was intreguing. I hope he kicks some serious ass next issue.

It'd be awesome to see him do something like tap into the main Green Lantern Core Battery with enough will and be the first one to put down one of the Black Lanterns, but that's a bit of a stretch.

whats the difference in the power between the different color lantern corps ?

i know the yellow lanterns can resist the power of a green lantern.

but what makes the blue lanterns and the rest of the colors any different ?

Red: fueled by rage; can spray fire/blood from their mouths
Orange: fueled by greed; only one member, he steals souls
Yellow: fueled by fear; constructs, more effective against GLs
Green: fueled by will; constructs, not crazy
Blue: fueled by hope; miracle working, require a GL present
Indigo: fueled by compassion; energy absorption
Violet: fueled by love; grow crystals, brainwashing
