this issue just proves undeniably that BN should have been just a GL event rather than a company crossover, thats why the Sinestro War was so awesome..yeah everybody showed up but they showed in the GL comics...and thats how this should have been
but it is what it is.
Does anybody really think people wouldn't be complaining if the multitude of meetings between dead heroes/villains would only be taking place in the main series ? As it is, the most frequent seen complaint is that everything is repetitive and it's quickly losing its taste, but if that would have been the other way around everybody would point out that it's a lost opportunity to expand on the emotional impact on the various heroes/villains involved.
Another viewpoint is, say I'm a fan of the Booster Gold series. Isn't it more satisfying for me to read a whole arc dedicated to the Booster/Blue Beetle confrontation, even if similar events have happened in a number of tie-ins/related mini-series, than to get at most a few pages in the main BN story ? And this, obviously, isn't limited to Booster Gold, which is my point. It may becoming boring for those that read everything BN related, but it's rewarding for those fans of individual series.
^ i see your point completely.
i am simply of the opinion that the 'shelf life' of BN has been somewhat diminished, due to the fact that pert-near every ongoing series in DC has been used as a tie-in. now had this event been contained solely to the GL series', i personally think it wouldn't have lost so much of it's original luster.
a bunch of dead heroes have come back to life in the form of black lanterns. they feed off of strong emotions. there is a war between the spectrum of colors... we get it.

the other thing ive noticed is that the tie-ins seem like they are just f ****ing for f ****'s sake.......so to speak..... oh noez!!!! our dead loved ones/most hated foes are back to mind f ****. lets feel a bunch of emotions...lather.. rinse.. repeat. at least with FC each tie in had a specific agenda
