STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

Something to contemplate, at least. But not now, for Free Flier has reached its destination of Triskatan and drops out of hyperspace just outside of its gravity well. Triskatan hangs before you against the backdrop of infinite blackness specked with stars, a great green orb upon which you can see the gleaming lights of civilization.

"O my homeworld," Senator Farl says upon seeing the planet. "I return to thee at last, and alive. A sight I was unsure I would ever see again..."

Wentar will say nothing to Farl, letting the senator take in the sight of his homeworld.

Time to start the landing process, eh? I wonder if Farl has any objections to being discreet here...

The Senator has a landing site intended for your ship, though he is not sure if it is what you would call discrete.

Well I was hoping that we could keep the Senators return to his home world a secret, to throw the assassins off.

"Hah! What would the point of that be?" Senator Farl says. "I have no intention of hiding these foolish would-be killers! I will stand bravely and defiantly, with you at my side and surrounded by the finest officers that the Triskatan police force can offer."

Wentar knows it is useless arguing at this point. "As you wish, Senator," he says, directing the Free Flier towards the landing site.

You swoop down into the atmosphere of Triskatan and are met with a glorious and very alien sight. Normally when one thinks of sand dunes, the pictured norm is of sun-baked sand on an arid and pitiless world, in the vein of Tatooine. Not so here. Triskatan has sand dunes that stretch on across the whole of the surface, but you mistake them, at first, for grassy hills. The sand is a rich and pleasant green hue, interrupted only by sparse oases with red-tinted ponds.

Most dazzling of all is the city that you are approaching, where the Senator's residence is located. The capital of Triskatan is composed entirely of cylindrical structures that are blindingly white, appearing to have no windows or doors or any other features at all, and all of them round off at the top. Upon closer inspection, the buildings appear to have a soft liquid running down the outside in a slow trickle. They increase in height as you near the center of the city, and you can only determine where you are supposed to land by the homing beacon that Farl activates.

One of the tallest gleaming white towers opens at the top, the white liquid curling away to flatten out the top and reveal a landing pad.

"There we are!" Farl says. "My place of dwelling."

"I've never seen anything like it," Wentar whispers, despite having seen many sights in the Galaxy this spectacular sight is one of the most impressive.

He steers the ship towards the landing pad. "I assume this is all made from Trikistan Liquid?"

"Only the surface, really," Senator Farl admits, "and some of the interior. It would be quite a feat if the entire structure were made from it, but that yet eludes us."

You set down on the landing pad and the Triskatan Liquid contracts and closes off the trickling dome above you, running from a complex network of flexible pipes that form the shape.

Standing on the landing pad outside the ship is a man in a stylish white uniform, flanked by two more men in the same uniform. The leader is distinguished by a bandoleer draped across his front from the left shoulder.

"That's the Chieftain of the Triskatani Police," Senator Farl explains.

"Still impressive nonetheless," Wentar says, shutting the Free Flier down and preparing to disembark. "What's his name?"

"Chieftain Drufter will suffice for him, I believe," Senator Farl says.

When you disembark, Emso sets to unloading the Senator's things while Senator Farl directs you into the presence of the Chieftain, who smiles politely when you approach.

"So, this is the Jedi to whom we owe a great deal of thanks," Chieftain Drufter says.

"It is indeed, Chieftain," Farl says. "I would like you to meet Wentar Reiua of the Jedi Order."

You notice that the Chieftain and his cohorts have small white blaster pistols strapped to their legs.

They seem to love the color white... then again Wentar would fit in with his white tunic and cream robes.

"Greetings, Chieftain Drufter," Wentar says with a polite bow. "I'm glad to say our journey from Coruscant went quite smoothly."

"As should everything else, now that you have arrived," Drufter says. "My security team has set up all throughout your complex, Senator. If anyone gets in, they will be heavily opposed. I will give you command codes for the security system, of course, Master Jedi."

"Thank you, Cheiftain," Wentar says. "Perhaps after the Senator is settled you can show me around the complex and tell me about the security systems."

"Certainly," Drufter says. "This way, please..."

The Senator and the Chieftain start to leave the platform, while Emso continues to unpack the massive suitcases that Farl had him load.

Wentar will make a single glance back at Emso, wondering what secrets the Zabrak knows, before turning and following Drufter and Farl off the platform.

Emso carries on as you leave the platform.

Inside the first level of the tower, you are met with a simple flight preparation workshop. A team of mechanics is preparing tools and pressurized hoses with which they intend to clean and maintain your ship, to make sure it is operating as it did on its first day out of the docks, if not better. Aside from that, there are work tables and flight suits and ship parts strewn about the place.

Drufter and Farl do not stop here, or the next floor, which holds a small collection of airspeeders... all of which cost fortunes to possess.

It is down to the next level that they go, and you are met with a spectacular sight. This cylindrical room that you have entered is exorbitantly grand indeed, both in size and decoration. It takes up the equivalent of nearly ten floors, with walkways lining the walls to mark each floor. Each walkway allows access to little alcoves, where there are tables.

As with Farl's suite on Coruscant, the structural emphasis is on curves and everything being white.

Farl does not intend to take the stairs all the way down. Drufter's men disperse into what can only be described as the Party Room while Drufter and yourself follow the Senator into a central lift, larger than the smaller ones situated between the alcoves.

This lift takes you down so many stories that you lose count.

When it stops, the doors open into a quiet reception room into the Senator's offices.

"Here we are," Senator Farl says, obviously nonplussed with his surroundings. But you are amazed, Wentar. This place would have taken so many credits to build!

This place could fit a small town comfortably, Wentar thinks, trying to take in all the sights. Senator Farl is far more wealthy then I realized.

"I don't know what to say, Senator" Wentar says, entering the reception room. "This place is astounding, I can't imagine how much this all cost."

"Several fortunes," Senator Farl says. "Luckily the Senatorial position is highly revered on Triskatan, so several fortunes is what I am given to do my job."

Drufter nods, supportively. "Not to mention the security system that comes with this place... also a fortune."

"Yes," Farl says. "I want you to observe something, Wentar. Please activate your lightsaber."

A little confused Wentar will comply and cautiously activate his lightsaber.
