The lightsaber sinks into the wall with its usual crackle, burning neatly into the wall. Strangely, the wall ripples like disturbed water around your burning blade. When you withdraw it, the Triskatani Liquid neatly reforms inside the molten circle and it is as if it was never there.
"Part of the security system," Drufter tells you. "It closes around ALL doors and windows when directed to. Energy weapons only make a brief dent, but nothing more, so entrances can't be blasted open."
Farl just smiles.
Drufter goes over other features of the security system, some of them very complex, others fairly simple. An extensive sensor network, patrols of astromech droids and Triskatani officers, a variety of traps, etcetera.
"The best part, however... is that it is not controlled by a computer," Drufter says.
"Emergency protocol," Drufter says. "It cannot be accessed without specialized equipment, like what I have, and so goes into full lockdown. If that happens, I suggest avoiding anything and everything that looks like it could hold a trap. The Senator will immediately be sealed into whatever room he is in, for his protection."
Drufter spends some time going over the various trips and traps with you...
Laser Turrets: Damage 2, Pool 5, Armor 1. Light wall-mounted blasters that find targets with sensors.
Laser Walls: Damage 5*. Force fields that prevent passage through and effectively Reflects blasterfire.
Ray Shields: Pool 6. Imprisoning cones of energy that prevent movement.
Tractor Beams: Damage 1, Pool 6. Gravitational manipulators that push or pull targets in a chosen direction and keep them there.
Triskatani Liquid Doors: Extra-durable seals that reinforce blast doors; impenetrable!
With Drufter's help, Wentar is granted a certain amount of knowledge as to where they all are.
