Farl agrees.

"Drufter is someone I can count on," Farl says. "I could not take him away from his duties here on Triskatan, of course. But now that I am here, he will do a fantastic job of assisting you in my defense."

"I somehow get the feeling he isn't too fond of me being here," Wentar admits.

"What makes you say that?" Farl asks.

"Just a feeling. Perhaps I'm still annoyed over getting nowhere when I asked him to return Emso," Wentar shrugs. "I should probably sleep on it."

"Perhaps. I have had my servants set up your room on my floor. You should be comfortable there. I will try to get Emso transferred back here, since you've insisted."

"Thank you, Senator. I know this disturbing turn of events must be hitting you the hardest. Do you want me to stand guard for the night or spend tonight resting?"

"You may rest," Farl says. "Drufter can handle things on his own for the evening."

Wentar will retreat to his room then.

I think that wraps up the first day on Triskatan, I can't think of anything else to do at this point other then look after Farl, at least until Emso is returned.

Indeed, all you can do until the potential next assassination attempt is wait.

A week goes by and nothing out of the ordinary happens. Senator Farl makes some announcements to Triskatan as a whole updating them on his status and apologizing for not being out in the public, but he hopes they understand that his life is at risk and his Tower is the safest location he can be in.

Drufter says he has put the paperwork in to transfer Emso to the Tower, but it is easier to put people in his jail than it is to get them out, especially as the Tower is not a designated prison facility.

You hear nothing more from Altar.

Well as long as it's being done Wentar can't complain about the situation with Emso.

No new info from Altar, eh? What about the Senatorial guards? I'm still a little curious about what they ran into. Though I'm starting to think they were ambushed and saw nothing.

Nartholen and Walder do awake in this time. They have little to tell, but what you learn is helpful.

When they walked into the basement level of Farl's apartment, they saw someone hunched over the device that you confiscated, working it diligently. They could not see much of him, but they do describe him wearing some sort of face mask... which matches the description of the assassin you chased!

There are more than one.

Helpful, but disturbing. Those assassins are skilled to say the least. More equals bad...

No word on that device?

Nothing really distinguishing about it other than it is expensive. It could have been obtained anywhere.

Hmmm. I suppose Wentar should pass on the little info we have about our masked assassins to Drufter. I doubt he has anything to add on the matter but it'll give him something more to look out for.

You have a hard time believing that they can infiltrate the Tower at all, with how well Drufter keeps security. Despite nothing happening for an extended period of time, he maintains a strict schedule so that no point in the Tower is exposed at any time.

Still no Emso, though.

Wentar wont complain. Better he stay on the ball then fal into a false sense of security.

Can Wentar check the prisoner transfers at all from the Tower?

Check in what way?

See if the requests have been sent for starters. I'd like to try work our way up the system until we catch up with the paper work, maybe give it a shove along.

The system reports that you have not been given clearance to view such files.

I didn't think so. Maybe if I speak to the prison guards, if Emso is coming back they should have been alerted.
