I would not face an American court, and I would not be tried for theft, but copyright infringement.
It counts as intellectual theft. Whether or not you can be tried for that there is another thing.

Using that, any "easier" way can be argued for being lazy. I don't use the old well at the top of a hill near where I live, instead I get water from the facet. I'm not lazy, I'm using something that's more practical. The fact that downloading is unethical, doesn't mean I'm lazy simply because I feel like circumventing an order at amazon.co.uk. Your entire argument is based around the fact that I work to earn my money, which is false. I live off my student loans, which I will receive no matter how much work I put in. So it's not laziness, it's spite.
Spite is worse, for one thing.
Secondly. laziness is precisely that. An easier way when the regular way isn't even hard.

Once again, awful analogy. We're looking for the reasoning behind an action. This doesn't become a fact until you can prove it. You might think it is, but it's not a fact.
I have proven it, though. Buying comics legally is not a hard thing to do, as Digi has said.
Therefore, any "easier" way is laziness. Marvel Comics themselves have a program whereby you subscribe yearly and you have access to thousands and thousands of online comics.

It's not just think I dislike, but things that do not meet my purchase-bar. Like New Avengers. It's not a "bad" comic by my standards, but it's still not one I want to buy.
Then don't have them in your possession.
If it's worth your time, it's worth your money.
