STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

Maybe we wanted you to sense him.

There is no actual front door to the Astrune mansion. You go up some steps to the first row of columns and realize that there are several rows going back, though there is a definite hallway going down the center. You move down this until you sense that you are surrounded. At least ten well-built men, clad in nothing but white toga-like skirts, emerge from behind columns and adopt threatening unarmed stances.

Okay, Rianna leans towards being unsure of herself enough, don't need you to help 😛

She suppresses the desire to roll her eyes and stops. "We mean no harm and simply wish to speak with Dame Astrune."

"Is she available?" Vera-Kin asks, likely after staying her Wookiee companion from pulling out his oversized shotgun.

Barker roars threateningly and you see the men step back from the quick-to-anger Wookiee.

"Calm yourselves," says a man who walks quietly out from behind a column. He too is scantily clad, but sports a pair of leather pauldrons on his shoulders and gloves with metal knuckles on his hands. "You said you wish to speak to the Dame Astrune? State your business."

"We are Jedi, and the exact matter we wish to speak of her is one of a sensitive nature," Rianna simply says, not wanting to tell too many people they're chasing a Dark Jedi.

"As I am Tineas, the head of the Astrunian Guard, I must insist that you tell me your exact purpose for being here," says the man.

"We have reason to believe that a trio of Dark Jedi could attempt to break in," Rianna says, her voice slightly sharp.

Tineas flexes his knuckles idly.

"Jedi business, then," Tineas says. "Please, come with me."

He turns and begins walking down the rows of columns towards a wall, where the ceiling comes its lowest at ten feet above you and there is a doorway without a door.

Rianna will follow, continuing to use Sense.

Vera-Kin does the same.

Following Tineas through the doorway, you are suddenly aware of a prickling sensation on your skin as your hair stands on end.

"Don't worry about that," Tineas says. "Static air purifier. Keeps everything pure and refreshing."

...Rianna with her hair standing on end is a hilarious mental picture...

"I see..." she comments while smoothing her hair back down.

At the end of this room, which is less open than the hall of columns but still naturally lit, you find that you are amongst a series of pedestals on which there are artifacts of various sorts that draw your attention. They are all spotlighted by a bioluminescent lamp and most seem to be very old.

"Wait here," Tineas tells you, and he walks off to one side of the room and into a door leading further into the home.

Rianna will idly wander this room while waiting, then, checking out all of the various artifacts on the pedestals.

"What sort of welcome do you think we'll get from this Dame?" she asks Vera-Kin.

You notice one artifact in particular, Rianna.

It is a lightsaber.

It is YOUR lightsaber.

Vera-Kin observes the lightsaber that Rianna is fixed on.

"What is it?" Vera-Kin asks.

"...that's my lightsaber," Rianna says, shocked to see it. "And there's only one way it could have gotten here."

"Rand," Vera-Kin voices both of their thoughts, frowning at the lightsaber's presence. "But why?"

"I don't know. To taunt me, maybe. But it's pretty clear he's already been here."

Rianna is very tempted to simply snatch it back...it is, after all, hers.

"Then we shall have to tread carefully with the Dame," Vera-Kin says, looking up at the young Knight beside her and seeing her intent gaze on the lightsaber. "What are you thinking?"
