STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Broken

So sneaking around to the backside of the building, then?

Yup!

Alrighty.

Vera-Kin and Barker stride up to the Stain. I am unsure what your approach is, Vera... do you want to use Presence to draw attention away from yourself for subtle purposes or to radiate a sense of confidence and authority?

Rianna, in the mean time, breaks off from them and sneaks off toward the back alley. Two successes makes sure that Rianna remains unnoticed as she gets there. The back alley is empty; a filthy dumpster and some general refuse scattered about, and a single heavy door into the back of the bar.

Oooh, door.

Rianna's natural curiosity (she's like a cat sometimes, wanting to get into everything) makes her want to sneak through it, though not right now. She's going to sense around, and try to find a position where she can keep watch on people coming and going in front if possible.

The subtle approach might be best at this point. Don't want to walk in and be like 'HEY I'M HERE,' in case the Dark Jedi have told Dalt who we are.

Having a Wookiee with you does not particularly help that...

Any ideas on where you would like to hide are welcome. You cannot see the front from the back alley.

Sneak around to the side, see if there's any particularly large bits of junk or something like that to hide behind, or a doorway or something.

There is also the possibility of sitting on top of the building, which would also be rather hilarious.

There is not much to hide amongst in the side alleys- mostly in the back.

The top of the building is just out of reach of a straight jump from the ground.

What about from on top of the dumpster that's back there?

That would do it.

Wooo.

Let's do that then.

True. I want Barker with me regardless, so Vera-Kin will go with the loud and proud individual approach. It will help me socially anyway (with that bonus dice).

Alrighty.

Vera-Kin walks up the steps onto the uncovered porch, where a few men are hanging about smoking. They eye you curiously as you walk in, but you sense no real animosity from them.

About this time, Rianna hops up onto the dumpster and performs a leap to get to the roof. Four successes gets her far enough to grab the ledge and hoist herself up. The roof is dotted with empty crates, vents, and the roof access door.

Inside the Stain is a darkened atmosphere with lamps that illuminate the heavy wooden tables they hang over but not much else. There is a fine layer of smoke hovering the air. The majority of the patrons are human males (this planet not having much variety). As a result, the Wookiee and the green Muppet look peculiar and you gather some looks. Again, no animosity, and everyone returns to their conversations and drinks.

Rianna will crouch down low and sneak towards the front of the building, getting into a position where she can be hidden but watch for people coming and going.

Using Sense the entire time, of course.

Vera-Kin will use Sense to get a feel for her environment, looking over the miners and seeing if she can identify Dalt at any of the tables. If not, the best place to start in a drinking establishment is always the bartender, and so she will go to the bar with her fearsome Wookiee friend and order a drink- something light.

"How well do you know your patrons?" Vera-Kin asks the bartender when she sits down and gets her drink, probably with Barker's help getting up onto the stool.

A success for Rianna. Consider her hidden. The Stain is located at the end of a long street, so your view of the front includes that street stretching off ahead. Not much going on at the moment.

"'Spose I do well enough," the bartender says. "Whatsit to you?"

Vera-Kin considers fibbing about her reasons, but realizes she would be better off being straight with the bartender.

"I am looking for someone," Vera-Kin states, simply.

"Who might that be?" the bartender says, not looking up from his glass.

Nothing going on is generally good, though boring.

Does Rianna sense anything?

"His name is Dalt," Vera-Kin says. "Dalt Brernon. He's committed no crime, but I feel I must talk with him about a few things."
