What on earth are you talking about?

Mine is - Given enough time, a single group of long living, war mongering people should be able to develop strong martial arts.

They would most likely develop a highly effective, straightfoward, but a simple fighting style. Training method like that would drive everything to become smoother and simpler. I don't really think they would discover some of the more advanced techniques like some nerve strikes - but would they need them? A kick to the head is all that's needed why bother with a nerve strike that may or may not work.

And since the comics don't display what the lot of you (minus alvis, because in case you didn't notice he keeps sasying he's not talking about the comics) are saying, then I'm afraid the argument stems from nothing more than fan fantasy.

What we were saying is that given his history within the comics Thor should be displaying great skill in H2H. We're all aware he doesn't actually do so (though he is no slouch).

If there's a big size gap anywhere the smaller people may develop a tendency to strike at the weak points. Though it might not go past things like going for the crotch or nose. Who knows. I do agree they probably wouldn't get that fancy.

Well Thor is extremely skilled although he doesn't show it.

Hell, a manifestation of Thor's mind (The Valkyrie.), beat Moondragon in a hand to hand fight, and was holding her own against Gamora herself. And seeing as how she's nothing more than a creation of Thor's psyche, I assume she got any an all of her fighting abilities from Thor.

Thor's one of the best fighters out there easily based on shit like that.

There's nowhere else she could've gotten those skills.

Both Moondragon and Warlock confirmed that she was a product of Thor's psyche. She also beat Gamora.

These two can be reconciled if you consider Thor just may be dumb or bound up by honor crap.

He wasn't really holding his own against Gamora. She was pretty much kicking him around without him being able to connect until Valkyrie threw Moondragon into her.

She never really beat Gamora other than throwing Moondragon into her. When the two of them actually locked up with each other she hit Gamora once right before Thor got the Power Gem and the IW took off.

Kicking him around? What's your definition of kicking around? Thor has shown that if he wants to get a hit against Gamora, he can do so easily. He did already.

I was talking about the Valkyrie by the way. Someone inferior to Thor was able to hold her own against Gamora. Shows how lucky Gamora was that Thor was just randomly swinging his hammer.

She kicked him, he was knocked around by it. That's about the best you can hope for when your opponent has the Power Gem.

Valkyrie was only able to connect once. That's not "easily" if she'd been missing previously.

He was not knocked around by it. Knocked around is what happened when Silver Surfer fought Thor during Blood and Thunder. Kicking Thor without even budging him is not knocking him around.

I was talking about Thor. He was able to easily tag Gamora and the rest of her team when he was pissed off with a single attack. Too fast for any of them to defend against. He can tag her. He was just aimlessly swinging his hammer.

When someone gets kicked in the stomach and their response is "UMF!" I think it's safe to say that they were budged by the blow.

When did he tag Gamora cause I just read through the fight and never saw it.

Is Valykrie real now or has she gone forever?

Kicked around is when someone hits an opponent and sends them flying all over the place. She didn't even budge him. But fair enough she make growl or whatever that was but it's not as if she hurt him.

He did another time when the Infinity Watch all attack him and he tosses them all away.

Somebody is messing with Logan's mind.

Smells like Thor/Wolvie team-up.

most unlikely team ever...

what the hell is a apocalypse doing there with them? i mean, did they have a conference call and open a line up with apocalypse and ask him to get off his ass and go after wolverine? all of them just for the little canuck? i agree with llagrok on the team-up notion.

Several of those characters are dead, so that's why I'm betting on someone messing with Logan's mind. Loki maybe?
