LOTR RP Game part 1- Journey to Fornost

Started by Dexx79 pages

vardalain looks carefully after terrain lift, a hill or something from wich he, or a ranger could observe if anything's moving out of here.

I araise my voice and say:"Gentlemen we should decide what to do with the time given to us as I see it we have 3 options,
A we remain here and travel with this group to fornost,
B we start travelling to fornost on our own, which will be faster, not very social (looks like he doesnt care about that arguement) but a bit more risky,
C we can start travelling and try to find out who killed the messenger"

vardalain says nothing before he's certain of his beliefs, wich he mostly is. Fornost is their main goal, they must get there as fast as possible. But the people here were hospitable, as a reward he'll treat thew wounded as best he can, but he's not considering going with them till fornost. And following the assasin might stray them too far from theyr goal.

Palanfirith thinks....he chooses to go to Fornost, but only with the group. The camp was nice, but it slows us down.We should be fast.
But he remains with his thought at the messenger......

"Vardalain have you made up your mind yet???"

Yup, your Elf eyes can see movement far away, Vardalain

(Fire, no orc killed that guy, so it could only have been an insider)

Aranui wants to go retrieve the message. Now, I hope the Elves Elrond sent have not forgotten that he bade them protect him...

*Aniica wanders around looking at the orc bodies. She shakes her head in disgust. She walks over to Palanfirith.*

Do you know what they wanted? I have a major question also. Where are you guys going? Are you going to stay here, in the camp?

*Aniica's hawk flew down and landed on a rock beside of Palanfirith. The hawk had a piece of parchament in it's beak. Aniica took and opened it. She read and put it in her pouch and turns to Palanfirith, and in her most sarcastic voice says:*

I just received word from a friend of mine. Nothing much, just a bunch of orcs taking a stoll about a days march from here.

*She shakes her head and sits down on the rock.*

"Well, we're certainly not hunting Orcs, that's for sure. We are traveling to Fornost in Arthedain. The Elves are going to show that they are not ignorant to Men's plight, the Men are going from Gondor to show their alliance, and the Hobbits and I am going on business."

(yes, fire...i made up my mind, as said in my earlier post. Vardalain wants to go to fornost, no delays)

vardalain rushes towards a good spot to look around over the extended green fields, in hope of finding something.

(isn't the message at the dead guy...why need protection inside the camp?)

(dexx untill your character actualy says so my character normally does not know, it would be called meta-gaming and it ruins the mood)

(yeah, yeah..i know...my character is quieter. He'll tell you...)

no, the message is taken by the murderer, thus he must be found

(Technically, of course, Aranui is going to Fornost in a cynical attempt to get prestige for his family by getting 'in' with the Arnorian nobility, but I guess he probably didn't say that...)

Vardalain, one figure in the far distance is splitting off from the others.

Aranui, Grum has followed up on what you said about missing people. Apparently one of the minstrels has gone missing, though his body cannot be found.

"Do you know of what this minstrel has been doing the time before the attack?"

Aside from playing music, can't be said people were paying much attention to him...

Seeing the figure, vardalain approaches the others and adresse a leading camp man.
" we need horses " He turns to Aranui "i saw him, we must be quick"

My job is to protect you Master Aranui. So we'll fallow the minstrel. And vardalain, you are right. We need horses to get him faster.I would slow you down.On horse I'm quicker then the wind

( i dunno if you're in a condition to ride either...
i think that due to our horsing skill we'll be pretty disadvantaged...so that 'quicker than the wind' part...don't think it works.)

(we are pretty good in riding.....oh and by the way,I don't use my legs at riding 😉 )

(ergh..no, we're not. we're probably good ENOUGH...we didn't choose special riding template appartenances.
about that leg...dunno, Ush says)
