THAT WAS BETTER THAN THE AVENGERS!

That finale was freaking epic. I didn't even realize it was the finale at first, but it was so damn good I started suspecting it was.

You know what though, none of them are permanently dead, I refuse to believe it. Alaric was big character in the books, he and Meredith were a duo, I refuse to believe Meredith is going to go solo afterwards, that's just bullshit, its like Stefan going solo - nope, refuse to believe it. Klaus being alive, yes he was the main villain and too awesome to be killed. I was so scared they were going to kill Rebecca though - sigh of relief Goldilocks got away. Tyler not dead either, they haven't explored Tyler and Caroline turning evil yet - or maybe that's where its going with Klaus in his body. Bonnie is one cold witch though, even though it was the optimal choice, she knew she was "killing" Tyler. Elena as a vamp? Was looking forward to it since season one, if they go along with the books, I have some good ideas what is happening next season.

So pumped for season 4.

Klaus had a twin brother, separated from birth, lived with the original Werewolves. Damn I'm good.

Well Alaric was turned to a vampire, and died when Elena died, so I don't know what could happen there. But as for Matt Davis, he's going to be on another show, if it's picked up for a season that is.

He could always be a ghost.

T'was a good finale. Alaric was freakin cool.

Too bad the world is going to end and we won't finish the next season.

Why should she have picked Damon? Because he is "sexier"? That's the most common reason I've come across, whether put forth blatantly or disguised under some other sentiment.

It's really starting to make me lose faith in whether females of this generation value loyalty at all.

Sanity, not loyalty, would be a better adjective.

Damon's notorious history as a murdering rapist notwithstanding, unlike Stefan (whose past isn't exactly teeming with roses and sunshine), Damon's biggest problem is that he's fickle. Every six episodes he does a Heel Face Turn and kills/turns people ranging from Jeremy to innocent bystanders. Of the two, it's absurdly, unbelievably, incontrovertibly obvious which is the better choice: Stefan by a country mile.

He's more patient, more respectful, more supportive, and his devotion to her rivals or eclipses anything Damon has ever shown.

Damon's a great character, to be sure, but an ideal boyfriend? Only if the chick in question is an unrepentant sociopath and glutton for punishment.

Stefan is a simp.

I've always favored his charater. I quite agree with Rose. He'll either be the best or worst for her.

I LOVE this show. One of my top favorites of all time. It has the hottest cast. Steven R. McQueen, oh my lord.

I am struggling to get past the 6th episode of season one. For the love of all that is sacred in this world, please tell me they stop playing a song every F****ng 10 minutes in the show. Sad face= shitty music...mad face =shitty music Tense moment=shitty music...you get my point. I am not a female teenager, i am a man who is 41 years old. Should i even attempt to continue to watch this terrible show? I only ask because people tell me it gets much better, and that i will really get into it.

Just watch every scene with Damon and skip the rest.

I tried, this show is not for me such bad acting all around, horrible premises, plots etc. Damon might have the chops, he is probably the best actor on the show. I got to episode 9 an have given up. I was lent the dvd's and gave them back, at least i got through 4 seasons of True Blood, i can not see for the life of me how anybody could compare the two. But i see VD has many seasons under its belt, so what do i know

VD is much better than TB, if you got through 4 seasons you could have at least gotten to season 2 of VD.

It hits it's stride about halfway through the first season, then gets better from there. More story, character development, and action; less Elena relationship drama that no one cares about.
