Despite liking this all out fight between Asgardians and HAMMER, I do not like how Thor is getting weaker year after year, I hope he taps into the OF from Mjolnir and goes Warrior Madness cause seeing him downed by those puny U-Foes and Osborn in an Iron Man armor is very sad.For God's sake, the guy has fought Galactu's heralds now he can't even stand to mid level metahumans? Meh....

Not according to Bendis, Quan.

Haven't been following this very much... Was Dark Reign the immediate precursor to the Seige/Invasion of Asgard stuff?
Well Dark Reign ended more or less with the list series (whereby Osborn created a must do list whilst he's the current Nick Fury. It included killing Punisher and sorting out the X-men. It culminated with two things left to do. Take over the world and kill Spidey.)
Other than that, the only things you might want to read- The Dark Avengers Annual (not that essential, but if you like Marvel Boy it's important) and Siege: The Cabal which was a one shot about Norman's evil illuminati dealing with Doom up and leaving them.
Then Siege starts immediatelty after that.

Thanks fellas. So Dark Reign was the beginning-middle(ish), and the whole event concludes with Siege in a few months. Got it. 🙂And btw, LOVE the sig/avy, will. 👆
Also I'm not too certain I wouldn't mind Osborn being taken out of the picture. I think in terms of his history this is basically his climax. He's been very cool I don't know if I want him to get killed off but honestly even in this series he always seemed more like a man of great luck rather than the mastermind villain.
I just feel like even now he is simply being portrayed as a guy that has been in the right place at the right time. It seems like he reached this stage through some of his own schemes but also through mostly luck.
He never would have been where he is know if it weren't for the skrull invasion. He probably wouldn't have managed to hold on to that power as long as he had without the Sentry.
And at the end of the day he is still being manipulated by Loki through most of this.
It just seems that he should probably retire after this fall. A guy that got into a really good spot but never had the actual abilities to hold unto it.

Cheers, I just bought the first four trades of Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle= Awesome!
Re: Dark Reign to Siege= That's more or less right. Dark Reign was the tone or banner across the MU post Secret Invasion, in the same way the Initiative banner reflected the general state of the MU itself after the events of Civil War. Siege is an event like Civil War, Secret Invasion etc, etc.
EDIT- Now I think about it, DC's events always seem to be a bit more fitted into the general continuity of the DCU, whereas Marvel have always had the events of the wider MU culminating in an event and then it's fallout eventually building towards the next event in a much more flowing manner. Or at least this has been true since Secret War/ Avengers Dissassembled.

Characters have nothing if the writers don't give it to them.
Bendis explicitly stated opposite to what you're saying.

I don't think these are good arguments because everybody has luck. Spiderman wouldn't be Spiderman if he hadn't been biten by a radioactive spider doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the credit for whats happened afterwards.
