Batman: Arkham City

Started playing this game. Having fun with it. I am liking where the story is going. My favorite thing has got to be the thugs talking about Batman and the top dogs villains. So funny.

The game only gets better. You're in for a real treat, one of the best games in years.

Also, the Black Mask map (for combat) and campaign was pretty cleverly done. Never imagined fighting in such narrow spaces on a moving train in an Arkham game. Black Mask can only be taken out with a beatdown though (stun, then attack), which can be tricky since Mr. Hammer and some other thugs are also around him. Overall though, nice new map.

Not sure which combo special I like more now; Robin's spinning staff which attacks multiple enemies at once, or Nightwing's move that shocks most enemies at once. mmm

Why is Ivy's skin entirely green though? It's not like she's She-Hulk or anything.

Ivy is a dirty fighter! LoL I guess the artist likes them green.

Solomon Grundy's fight was somewhat underwhelming, but I don't blame them. I rather have them take that route than just Batman PIS his way to victory like he usually does.

I r liking the plot more and more. Wonder how much longer than the first one AC really is.

Depends what you do.

The main quest itself may be a bit shorter than the first, but if you are going to do the sidequests (you should, they're amazingly well done) it becomes a 30-40 hour game. With riddler trophies it ups it to about 60-70 hours.

I'll definitely do the sidequests, but I'll pass on the riddler trophies.

The side quests are pretty sweet.

Unfortunately, I missed some of them because of how they are done. I could go back but I rather finish all of them before the game is over.

Yeah, I think the Riddler trophies is one of the best implementations of collectibles in any game. Those puzzle rooms are fantastic.

I can understand not having the patience to 100% all the Riddler challenges (even though I did), but getting enough of the Riddler stuff is still worth it when it comes to saving the hostages; the hostage situations are a pretty worthwhile experience for a side quest in and of itself.

Now you're just being a fanboy Zack. I highly doubt this game beats out the innovation of MW3.

I don't know, Skyrim and Skyward Sword were better IMO.

Haven't played Skyrim yet, but I will sometime this xmas.

Sadly won't be playing Skyward Sword. I just don't like Nintendo anymore. =(

Got all 440 trophies, when I was on my way to Riddler's, my mood was stuck on:

The pay off was alright, but having to go around getting them felt like a goddamn chore. The only good thing to these were the challenge rooms with hostages, other than that, stupid busy-work to unlock, OH. MY. GAWD. Concept art that I've probably come across on google. It would've been great if extra costume or abilities were the payoff, but it's the only thing I barely enjoyed in this game. The rest is flat out amazing though. Will be replaying it just for the story though.

The game is a fanboy's wet dream. It was just great watching how they used each of Batman's rogue list..

Somewhat annoyed how they made Bane look like a dumb brute, but I don't mind it because it wasn't his time to shine.

I have 150 Riddler items done. It's been very fun to search for everything. I can't wait to get everything done just so I can start all over again with New Game Plus.

F*ck MW3. F*ck Skyrim. F*ck Skyward Sword.

Arkham CIty is game of the year. If this doesn't get game of the year, I'll give BackFire a blumpkin!

New Game Plus was a beast. Lotta fun though.
