Blade told Wolverine why he was in his apartment. He told Wolverine that S.H.I.E.L.D sent him to bring Wolverine in. Wolverine doesn't kill SHIELD Agents, and he doesn't kill heroes. He even tested to see if Blade had a healing factor by cutting his cheek before realizing that he didn't and sheathing his claws.
If Wolverine had at all been serious and thought Blade was a threat, he would have lopped of Blade's head the panel after he said "Do you have a healing factor?"

Wolverine asked Blade if he had a healing factor, and then he raked Blade's cheek with his claws. Either Wolverine was merely testing Blade's ability to heal... or Wolverine was indenting to murder a superhero operating in an official capacity as a law enforcement personal under direct orders from SHIELD. Which of those do you think seems likely?
