He did not call himself Photon until his rebirth in New Thunderboltz #87/6.
Again why would we not use all of Genis-Vell feats? The only difference from then (Captain Marvel) and now (Photon) are his nega bands. Which instead of wearing them, have now bin absorbed.

id, does the version of genis you've drafted have the POTENTIAL to accomplish all the things the 'insane' version accomplished?

Insanity is a state of mind, not a state of empowerment. What you guys are confusing is the whole, Eternity/Entropy/Universe destruction and rebirth ordeal.
That’s what all the fear is about. No I cant use or claim that feat. Not because it puts Genis over the top. But because the feat is convoluted, given that no clear explanation as to how Genis went about to kill Eternity. Or how much help did he received from Entropy/Epiphany.
I refuse to acknowledge that feat given the circumstances.

THAT's the part i don't get. why should he be allowed in if it takes the neutering of his power level to allow him in. why not let sentinel in? thanos? neither of them has the potential, using innate powers, to end the universe?
and genis's cosmic awareness and tp have been shown to function at omniversal levels. all of these things are things ss is NOT capable of.
i get what you're saying kahn. he can't use those levels of powers. what i don't get is if he HAS those levels of power, and can reach them without any outside augmentation, then why is he allowed in the first place?

Omniversal Telepathy is just a poetic phrase to describe he is applying his Cosmic Awareness. Genis-Vell does not have telepathy to begin with.

At this level a lot of characters have suspicious high-end feats that could potentially disqualify them. We are giving the competitors the benefit of the doubt as much as we can. I trust the competitors to restrain themselves when it comes to referencing dubious feats in the tournament (if not Batdude and I will do it for them with zeal). 😐

No, it isn't too late. Swamp Thing is acceptable as long as you are aware that he only get a single plant body. He can't transfer his consciousness to other bodies or rebuild a new body if the original is destroyed.

We drafted Photon, are we going to be restricted to purely Photon’s feats as seen in New Thunderboltz. Or can we use his entire history of feats.
I am asking, because members seem to dismiss the idea that he can, with he changed form. Where the only change that took place was absorbing the Nega Bands.

again, to be clear--if his level of power has to be neutered, then it raises a large issue. i could say i'll use thanos, but only access levels of power`that are acceptable. i just don't see the difference between the examples. 😬

Show me a feat of him effectively using telepathy in such a manner. If I felt, that feat held so much weight. I would not be on the hunt to draft a powerful telepath, you know to protect him in coming brain farts. 😬
