A lot of people don't like the word bisexual because the popular connotation often implies promiscuity. Most people I know who date both sexes prefer to identify by the gender they date most or to whom they are attracted to most.

I believe that is known as the Non Sequiter fallacy. Being bisexual doesn't imply tolerance of other sexual orientations.
